    Poor corporate culture

    ProsA few smart people there.

    ConsWay too many product lines for a company without strong marketing and PR engine. Top executive team has no direction.

    Advice to Senior ManagementRespect the people and treat them well. They will in turn work harder for you and turn the company around. Otherwise they will abandon ship.

    Management Mess

    ProsFree beverages and snacks in the kitchen

    ConsRidiculous amount of turn-over in employees, including upper level management. Management style - both on the sales and technical support side - is aggressive and hostile at times. One of the managers had gotten suspended for some pretty immature actions during the time of my employment there, and I'm sad to say that they are still there today.

    Grossly mismanaged, but possibly back on track with new CEO

    ProsGood teams, good products, and a very flexible work environment. The company strongly believes in hiring talent as opposed to hiring who is located where they are.

    ConsLack of focus and motivation has left the company hemorrhaging. The third CEO in two years is now on board, which gives hope, but is also indicative of general morale.

    Advice to Senior ManagementClean house (they did in the past couple of weeks) and give employees a reason to care.

    A good company that has gone bad.

    ProsHad a great industry leading product with a world class channel group.

    ConsThey have slid on the technology side and are not leaders anymore.
    Senior management turnover has been rampant (5 major changes in 3 years).
    Toxic environment for those left.

    Prosthe free lunches are great

    ConsFire drills, no process to anything. no employee nurturing, unrealistic expectations. surprised companies like this still continue to stay in business in the year 2011

    Acronis deserves better leadership.

    ProsIt is a company that has good potential and good products. Our current technology is excellent. Customers like our products. We are moving to a VAR model which is fun to be involved with.

    ConsExec management here is the pits. They are way over their heads and it shows. CEO and sales exec VP are a cartoon. They treat employees like gerbils on a treadmill. Mid-level management is good but gets little help from the top. Poor pay and a revolving door for employees. I don't see management making good decisions to grow the company.

    Advice to Senior ManagementBring in more people with more diverse software experience than you have. Bring in more people with VAR experience.

    Disorganized environment

    ProsProduct good, Consumer product widely used, some good people internationally and good R and D. APJ and EMEA seem ok..

    ConsHas no clear or stated direction with a Sales and Marketing plan.
    Turnover is massive.. Greater than 40% annually with Sales even higher.
    No CEO with a long term commitment and a disorganized leadership team. Can be quite nasty also, where most are afraid to speak.
    Bizarre social media 'speak'.,

    Advice to Senior ManagementGet a decent CEO, a competent head of sales and some board members that can make a decision collectively rather than counting their $$$.

    good training in tech support

    Conshuge flow of customer
    very bad cooperation between T-1, T-2, T-3 and developers
    most of the tech problems clients face are never resolved and the support professional gets all the negative feedback from the client to himself
    management is too far away to care about it
    promotion just if you make friends with the management
