    Pros

Dynamic - if you like a visionless operation run by leadership who just seems to be a little bit shady - you never get an honest entire answer - my opinion / experience

    Cons

Basically is Forest Labs,,,, stereotypical comment in the industry when you hear the name Forest it is closely followed up by low ethics, not recognized as a high character company. Reflective of the leadership - my opinion

    Pros

The company has a diverse product line that should keep things moving forward in the short term.

    Cons

VP level sales executives have little or no respect by field management or field representatives. Focus too much on Wall Street instead of employees.

    Advice to Management

Make people feel part of an organization that values individual thought and truly listens to their employees.

    Pros

None. This is the Walmart of the industty. Comments by VP at National meetings such as: "I'm a capitalist pig"!

    Cons

This is a company that simply does not care about its employees. It was a fine company until the integration with Forest. Please run far away! Do not let stock price valuation fool u.

    Advice to Management

They would not listen even if told! They do not care!

    Pros

Much better organization and culture before the Forest acquisition. Former leadership cared about the company and people. The benefits are consistent with the industry.

    Cons

New Actavis leadership under those that have came from Forest are derailing the company. Caustic environment of fear and intimidation. Stated belief that they keep employees on edge they will be more productive. Public embarrassment and shaming of associates is common practice and expected from directors and above.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue! Most of the best talent in this organization are seeking employment elsewhere. Most employees seeking other opportunities.

Providers irritated by marketing efforts, see no continuity of representation and denying access to company.

    Pros

Its a job but just barely with all the reorganizations

    Cons

Not a career sadly. Too bad the company's path is headed toward short term rather than long term prosperity. Best talent leaving company in droves.

    Pros

Benefits package (UnitedHealthCare) is respectable. Troops on the ground actually care about their work. The companies that were purchased to create Actavis are generally very good companies with skilled staff.

    Cons

Management is terrible. The company breeds a culture of silos and unethical behavior. The company is a cash-cow for investors, but at the cost of respect for employees. The CEO is not interested in creating high quality products; he is only interested in making deals to increase profits.

    Advice to Management

Stop the A&M long enough to assimilate the companies you now own. Staff spend so much time trying to merge processes across the organization that there is no time to do their jobs. The company needs to reach a steady state or it's going to implode, quality will collapse, and the profitability will decline drastically.

    Pros

Wasn't there long enough to rate. Actavis acquired Warner Chilcott officially in Oct 2013. I worked in Clinical Operations at the Rockaway, NJ office. They are the few left after WCs lay offs for all other depts. Heard that the health care benefits are not good and pricey. WC had a $20/p mo full medical/dental benefit for single and $50/p mo for family while Actavis is health benefit plan is worth over $300/p mo for single. Change in Health coverage plan went into effect on March 1, 2014.

    Cons

Cons – Too many to name - management in Clinical Operations have a bad reputation. It can be seen as a result of their high turnover rate of their employees. Beware of management as they will use what they can and fire you just as fast as they hired you for any odd ball reason. If you see good ratings - be wary.

Advice to Senior Management – Treat people with respect and honor their achievements. What comes around goes around. Thank God I'm out of there.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Advice to Management

Actavis needs to see what is going on with WC management. High turnover rate under their management is awful and they do not treat people with respect nor honor their achievements. What comes around goes around. Thank God I'm out of there.

Used to be a great company before the name change/acquisition from Watson.

    Pros

Pays well, or at least the legacy people were paid well, benefits are good. Stock price is way up, can't figure that one out.

    Cons

VP at the Mt. Prospect location is nuts, but that's ok as he'll be retiring before long, or at least he hopes so. Major disconnect from the HR department, emails unanswered, phone calls ignored, treated the Mt. P people like second class citizens. The company had 9 months to get our separation agreements in order and couldn't do that correctly, as some have said "they can't even fire us right"! Secretly promoting people so they can babysit senior management is flat out wrong, not promoting individuals who deserve it is also wrong. I could go on and on but you get the point...

    Advice to Management

Stop buying companies before you tank, you're becoming Pfizer of the generic industry and it's only a matter of time before the house of cards collapses. Go back to the Watson culture and your employees will be much happier. Don't believe everything you are told from senior management who have been lying to you, telling you what you want to hear and not the truth, isn't that right NK, & MO?!?
