Medical and Science Sales team - Account Eexecutives

Account Executive (Former Employee) Newport Beach, CA

ProsGreat office space, leadership is non-existing, laid back environment. Good environment for recruiters . They send you nationally for training

ConsLeadership is incompetent, terrible delivery of services manager/ process for the medical and science team. No support/ terrible leadership for sales people. Leadership values - lie/cheat/steal.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should consider changing all recruiters on staff or add new recruiters specifically for the transactional accounts.
Area Director needs a lot of training on leadership skills

Not very happy efficient in finding direct hire positions.

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) Nashua, NH

ProsThe only good thing about this staffing agency, is that it did offer health benefits even though it was temporary work.

ConsSome of the recruiters were very professional and kind and really worked hard to help you find a position but because they have their own high turnover rate, it was hard to build a working relationship to get better positions.

Advice to Senior ManagementAll they care about is how much money they can get out of the employer and paying the employees really low.

Underpays top talent and makes promises it doesn't keep

    Support Engineer (Current Employee)

ProsIt is a large, growing company so there are many internal opportunities.

ConsUnderpays top talent and makes promises of increases but never follows through. Pays outside talent more then talent that has been with the company for years and therefore proven their talent. Notoriously bad management - micro managers, bad comm skills, not supportive, confusing, etc. Appears to make some ppl managers just bc they have been with the company for a while, not bc they have the talent to be a manager.

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn to support your employees, not put unrealistic expectations without any real training. Use positive reinforcement! Always stand behind your employee, don't throw them under the bus because you're worried about making the onsite team feel bad.

    Adecco Experience

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsWith the representative that I was working with during that time with Adecco my experiance was very fufilling. He was attentive and really helpful. When an assignment ended he was swift with finding a new assignment for me.

ConsMy most resent experiance with Adecco has not been as great. I have been actively looking for employement and have hurd nothing from them. I have been consistantely calling them to see if there are any openings and haven't gotten anything back. In my previous experience with them I didn't have to chase them down for employement but now not only do I have to stay on them but I get little to no response back so I have no way of knowing why I'm not being placed. I would like to know if there is something that I am lacking or need to work on or if there is honestly nothing they can do for me at this time.

Advice to Senior ManagementMy advice to the management of Adecco Staffing would be to train the recruiters in how to deal with those of us who are jobseekers. We don't want them to just tell us that they don't have anything for us, we want to know why and if there is something that we are lacking. That way we can possibly improve our skills in order to gain employement.

    Overworked, Underpaid

    Marketing (Current Employee)

ProsThe company has a great mission, to help companies and job seekers connect. Most of the colleagues are very professional, hard-working, smart people.

ConsThe workload is unreasonable and if you don't fit the profile of a "star"extrovert employee, opportunities for growth are limited. If you want to give up your life to outshine your peers, you're set. But if you're looking for work-life balance, forget it.

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership says it's concerned with overworking the staff, but it often seems like lip service.

Challenging work for low pay at Adecco Group North America

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsStaffing business is fun and challenging. Some very dedicated employees at New York corporate headquarters, which are being closed soon.

ConsCulture changed significantly for the worse when former MPS Group management was handed the reins in North America. No consistency in how people are paid regardless of position

Advice to Senior ManagementStop playing games.

    Disappointing

    Recruiter (Former Employee)

ProsExcellent benefits - 18 days PTO when you start, 5 days bereavement, decent health insurance, dental and vision insurance too! Good home/work balance.

ConsNo growth potential, very corporate and upper management run. Branch managers are not given flexibility to run branches like their own business, despite being told to do so. Management does not listen to problems at the branch level, short staffed. Pay is not competitive.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt is important to listen to what the field employees are saying. Managers at all levels need to pay attention to their employees so that things do not need to be repeated numerous times. When there are problems in a branch they need to be addressed. Regional VP's have no problems putting their field staff down or working with them to grow and develop with the company. Branch managers should not be puppets to upper management. Pay employees competitive wages, what they are worth. Have opportunities for professional growth and promotions with the company.
