I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I work with an amazing team of people!

    Cons

Cannot afford to live on what they pay me. I am single and $10.50 just won't and doesn't cut it anymore.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reviews and raises for the employees that work so hard for this company!! Some kind of incentives to keep us doing the job we do everyday for you!

    Pros

    Working from Virtual Office.
Supporting Field Mgt with their recruitment objectives and developing great relationships.
Providing employment to those in need and being a constant resource of support.

    Cons

Change of Management in TA created a downward spiral.
When the company decided to put quantity over quality, business was lost along with employee morale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If it's not broken don't try to fix it, especially if you don't know how. The Company should look into the the trend of the TA Dept over the years, identify where and when the company was doing 'Great' and revert back to some of the basic concepts.

I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Many advancement opportunities, work/life balance and professional autonomy.

    Cons

Pay is decent at best, raises are hard to come by and the mileage reimbursement is ever changing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The minimum wage is increasing everywhere. An increase in our pay would be appreciated and timely.

I worked at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

If you can be satisfied with your starting salary, then this may suit you, as it will not change much. I worked for them for over 10 years and was actually making the same pay when I left as when I started. The industry changes and they follow suit. They started with a gas card and car allowance, changed to a cents per mile that doesn't cover your expenses. They went from a 30 minute and 20 mile personal commute time, to and hour and 40 miles. They do not contribute to your 401K until the end of the year, thereby if you do not complete the year, no contribution as well as any money you could have made on the investment.

    Cons

Most positions went to carrying around and I-Pad, very cumbersome and you are unable to set it down at all. I had accrued 4 weeks of vacation time but, could barely get any time off approved. I also had to forfeit what was already accrued when I gave notice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay for experience, give people their time off and benefits.
