    Pros

    Opportunity to work directly with clients and Business Development Managers to develop trade plans, merchandising events and contracts.

    Cons

    Sometimes work within a short time frame, requires extra hours to complete tasks on time. Is not a true con, just a facet of the job when you work in a sales environment.

    Pros

    The company is great, as it's about a 30,000+ sized company they offer many connections and opportunities for advancement

    Cons

    Like the title says the job retail sales merchandiser can get very mundane and repetive unless you represent marsh chocolate then you do more promotions then fixing OOS and filling shelves.

    Pros

    Flexible schedule; interesting work handling different products; opportunity to meet associates in various stores;

    Cons

    Hourly rate on the low side; many store visits are relatively brief (around 1 hour) so unless you are in an area with many projects available, the travel time and gas etc may effectively eat up the compensation;

    Advice to Management

    project budgets should allow for two-hour minimums when visits are brief and infrequent, otherwise it may be a losing proposition

    Pros

    You make your own schedule for the most part. You're told a time frame that you need to be in the store and the stores you must go to but that's it. You determine when and where you go for the day. Decent pay. You're always given an opportunity to move up in the company. Even if you wanna make a move to do so! Awesome, caring management. Even the higher ups are down to earth and fun to be around! You are given a once a year meeting that gives you chance to mingle with everyone you work for. It's an awesome bonding experience.

    Cons

    Some territories have ALOT of driving. The cent per mile could be better.

    Advice to Management

    Take a harder look at what you're paying for gas milage. There's no way that wear and tear is included in the cent per mile. Gas is almost $3.00 in my area and I only receive .35 per mile.

    Compensation can be better but it does fluctuate.

    Listen to the advice of your mentor if you are lucky enough to have one. Go above and beyond to get recognition and it will help you advance in your career.

    No benefits for part timers, no guaranteed hours

    Advice to Management

    Negotiating an employee discount for the part timers at the clients stores might help lessen the attrition rate.
