    Pros

Not many if any all. I guess an okay starting job for college grad.

    Cons

    Under paid and over worked.

I have been working at Allegiant Travel full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

As expected, the people are the only redeeming quality of this company.

    Cons

Management is a circular firing squad sprinkled with intrigue, nepotism, and incompetence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Million spent on IT. Million going to friends of IT management. Not much product being returned. Lot's of lip service in upper IT management, and con men. Senior execs have no clue just how bad they are being taken.....

    Pros

Nothing is good about this company or IT

    Cons

worst place to ever work in IT. Management is about as bad as it gets. At all levels there is nothing redeeming about any of them. They like to point fingers and then yell at each other for pointing fingers. They take no responsibility for anything done and blame everyone else even putting it down on the employees.

Conform, kiss ass, and keep your head down; a lot of managers not a lot of leaders.

I have been working at Allegiant Travel full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good, and in some cases truly brilliant, co-workers in a friendly and unique work environment. Nice facilities, reasonable pay and decent travel benefits. High visibility to the highest levels of management. Exciting industry.

    Cons

Some departments standardize an unrealistic work/life balance (60 hour weeks with no breaks is not uncommon and in some departments expected). Benefits are almost laughable, and time-off is near non-existent.

Management is very critical with little vested interest in enriching employees. The culture embraces high turnover rather than molding employees into assets. This is a "Hire 'em, Grind 'em, get rid of 'em" company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are failing to see the costs with treating human capital as a dispensable asset. If more than 50% of employees will not see their one year anniversary of hire it would appear that there is a fundamental breakdown in leadership. Be realistic of the needs of your people. C-level managers are stepping on throats to get closer to one of the, entirely too many, VP titles.

It is alarming that no one can see the problem that will inevitably prevent Allegiant from ever being anything more than the low-cost, low-performance air carrier that it is.

If transparency is one of the Company's core values then how do you fail to see how poorly some of the managers treat their subordinates? Or, do you just not care?

    Pros

Fly free, if the 30 year old planes are not broke or delayed by 12 hours, but they fly to holes in the earth.

    Cons

Minimum wage, mismanagement, REMEMBER “Value Jet” same company. He just moved it to NV and changed the name.

    Pros

Associates are great, only thing that makes the job worthwhile.

    Cons

Does not hire women into positions of power. Recently, only hiring younger workers. "good ole boy network" at the top. You will overhear references to female body parts, partner preferences, (in their most vulgar form) etc., in the hallways. Only a matter of time till the place gets sued. Shame, would be a good place if they replaced these obvious negatives.

    Cons

Everything....Scheduling, policies and procedures, pay, training is terrible and they treat their customers like crap.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

You get to fly to Bozeman MT for free if there is an empty seat and the plane is on time. Do not tell any passengers you are an employee if you know what is good for you.

    Cons

Major disfunction at all levels of the company. No transparency at all.

They treat the flight attendants and pilots like garbage that they throw out daily. Flight Attendants and Pilots are going to strike this year to try and get basic benefits like Vacation during your first year.

BEWARE - THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THAT THEY DO NOT GIVE RAISES EVER. IF YOU GET OFFERED A JOB ASK ABOUT RAISES THEY DO NOT GIVE THEM.

I and a fellow employees have been here for 5 years and never got a raise. They tell you you can earn a bonus but it is only $300.

Health insurance is horrible - does not cover anything.

There is NO job security and they told me that during my review.

As a full time employee I take direction from both the CIO and his girlfriend (A CONTRACTOR )and it is seldom the same direction.

Go to Facebook and read the customer reviews if you don't believe me.

Trust me this place is a mad house!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The biggest game is: Either you suck up to the CEO and not have to work or if you cant get close enough to the CEO you better start looking for a new job.

I have been working at Allegiant Travel full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

None that I can think off. I will list out all the problems and this still will not be all.

    Cons

    Low pay
No raises unless you get a promotion
    Small bonus
$24 a day per diem for travel.
No personal space. You are crammed into work pods or small table desks. Some have 6 people in a space smaller than your average cubes. When they hire more staff, they just cram you into smaller areas. Some desks are 2 feet deep by 4 feet wide. Just enough room for your computer and a phone.
Management is never there and when they are their directions contradict each other.
IT management is some of the worst you will ever encounter.
Health insurance is expensive and you only have one option.
    Only 8 holidays per year.
No time off at all for first 6 months.
Only sick time off from 6-12 months.
They like to hire staff and treat them poorly knowing they will leave and it all starts over again.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would not matter. They would have to care about the employees.
