I have been working at Allegiant Travel

    Pros

Overall the people are friendly. There is not a lot of red tape, which means that change can be implemented fairly quickly. Lots of room for growth of you put in the effort.

    Cons

Change is constant, so it can be a bit of a roller coaster ride. Many people are trying to do a lot of work with limited resources. This gives you lots of freedom and opportunity to do work that would not normally be part of your job description, giving you the opportunity to grow and build your skills, but can also give you a headache. The pay does not always match the responsibility.

I worked at Allegiant Travel as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

I got to do real analysis that actually changed the behavior of the company. Completed a huge analysis project and presented it to senior management. Very satisfying and worthwhile. Flight perks were awesome.

    Cons

I did not secure a position there after the internship and they don't pay all that great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make use of the interns and try to get them a position after they graduate.

I have been working at Allegiant Travel full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Best thing about being a flight attendant here is that we return to our bases everyday/every night. Which is rare in this field. Good starting pay, great health benefits, as well as flight benefits. Company paid uniforms don't hurt either. The company is growing very fast and moving in the right direction.

    Cons

We fly to mostly unheard of, tiny cities. Better destinations would make this airlines more attractive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in better flight destinations, and knock out the "no connections" policy. People don't care if they have to make a connection in-between cities if they can fly to awesome destinations.

    Pros

Fun work, not boring; managers are pleasant; pay is greater than that at Alaska or USAirways. Safety culture, training is excellent. NO AGE discrimination. NONE. They hire the best candidates, and never consider age. The company is growing rapidly...

    Cons

    We don't fly to Europe.

    I worked at Allegiant Travel

    Pros

Business casual work environment with good energy, nice people, and filled with a spirit of entrepreneurship. The FP&A team is young, friendly, intelligent, and hardworking. For a small-cap company with a niche market and innovative business model, it is a great place to see the work you put in has direct impact in the managerial decision making process.

After 3 calendar months, full time employees receive flight perks within ZED network. Interns get flight perks on Allegiant Air only.

The fast growth company has room for hard-workers with talent. Allegiant offers job stability, a sense of gratification, and great experience for a narrow margin industry.

    Cons

During meetings, few people may reminisce about how things used to be at XYZ airline and eat up meeting time rather than focus on current topics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop meeting agendas, allot time for topics, and stay on schedule.

I have been working at Allegiant Travel

    Pros

The company itself is very stable which is always a plus. Also, you live in las vegas so that is always good too.

    Cons

The pay is horrible and the company lacks appreciation towards it's employees. Things are getting better but the pay is just bad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase the pay scale and pay people at least industry standard... WHen you make 20k less then someone else at another company doing the same job... something is wrong
