    Pros

    Cons

Since merger all ideas concepts and changes are definee by legacy forest and it isn't an improvement

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great work processes. Really great people to work with. Some of the smartest people I've worked with in this industry.

    Cons

The Actavis merger has caused many people to leave, and the new processes and practices are turning out to be sub-optimal. The new company is not the same as it was.

    Advice to Management

Actavis needs to value the substantial quality and structure Allergan had worked to build. While Actavis has a different view of R&D, the initial view is that these processes are substandard.

    Pros

Descent pay and benefits. The facility closed down as part of some merger money saving scheme. I was hired towards the end, so I can’t say I know too much about working there, but that is irrelevant now anyway.

    Cons

    Research Facility closed in Goleta.

    Pros

Smart, dedicated people. Focus on patients. Quality products. Beautiful campus. Good pay and benefits. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Ridiculously bureaucratic, even though management prides itself on being "nimble." Way too many meetings.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on data and results. Determine the organizational structure based on what works, not consulting firm's advice.

    Pros

Nice location, had a lot of opportunities to take on a lot of projects. Was able to work autonomously for the majority of time.

    Cons

Company acquired, the site in Irvine is no longer headquarters. A lot of great people were laid off so the work load is too much now.

    Advice to Management

    Improve advancement opportunity.

    Pros

People are intelligent, friendly and smart.

    Cons

Management is scattered and some are abusive.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to send some of their Directors to leadership class. They are all silo and run their own departments without the partnership of others.

    Pros

Good working environment, had strong R&D leadership team and marketing team. Used to be a very research-oriented company. Company was doing well on developing new products and markets.

    Cons

Working environment deteriorates. Low morale. A lot of talented people have left, especially in R&D. The company is more like a generic drug pharma.
