    I worked at AlliedBarton

    Pros

The job was simple and the site was a pleasure to work at.

    Cons

the hours were terrible. 12 hour shifts weekends and every holiday. No pay raises. Incompetent management with zero over site. I doubt my manager had a clue as to what my responsibilities entailed. I was disrespected by almost everyone in my branch office. I was just another number making money for the corporation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do your job and listen to your officers.

I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I got lucky and landed a Monday through Friday day position, so they do exist. Perfect for a college student that needs a set schedule and time to study. I usually get plenty of overtime (more than I really want, but I do need). My client is one of the most understanding and level headed people I've ever met. My bosses at Allied are also very understanding and supportive of my education. I get paid vacation that I cash out at the end of the year, and since Obamacare standards have been applied to our health coverage, the benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

I've been working here for four years and it doesn't look like a raise will ever be in sight. There is no where to move up to. I'm stuck in this position till I find a real job...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. I harbor no ill feelings toward you for not being able to give me or my co workers raises. I understand that it's based off contract with the client and not seniority.

    I worked at AlliedBarton

    Pros

Got a lot of training and experience in office needs and customer service in oral and dialouge communication

    Cons

The challenges at this site were you must be able to multi task and expect changes to policies and procedures on a daily basis

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Just to promote from within

I worked at AlliedBarton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You will get lots of traing if you are placed at a good site. I became a supervisor at my site in the matter of one year. I loved to train all of the new officers and the training done at my site is has now been turned into company wide training policy.

    Cons

The pay sometimes sucks depending on the site you work. Just watch you back because some officers will stab you in it and report everything you do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When someone has some advice on how something can be done a lot safer you should listen to them.

I have been working at AlliedBarton part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good place to work if you need to sit around or do minimal work, such as logging in trucks or patrolling areas. good place if you want to move around different jobs and sites. They do train you in CPR and the sites. they also do promote from within, but have a history of hiring unfit people for the big jobs. Good for part-timers if they just need a couple of works a week.

    Cons

pay inst great. Account management could use better work, communication could use work, as far as delegating power. but still good place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to hire more qualified individuals at the management level, just because someone has been with the company for a while, does not mean they have the drive to be upper management.
