    Pros

higher than average salary, excellent opportunity for advancement, remote employment opportunities

    Cons

ever changing leadership, too much outsourcing, revolving door employees. If there's one thing about Allscripts that is consistent, it's inconsistency. Buggy products (TouchWorks), poor support (TouchWorks). You think you are safe - and you get "the call". Totally out of the blue.

    Advice to Management

Keep the employees that clients trust.

    Pros

The location is nice You don't have to drive all the way out to RTP (although rumor has it that may be changing soon. let's hope not)

    Cons

there has been lots of change in the last few years with top level leadership. Things have not quite settle down as of yet. Hopefully the company direction will start to solidify soon.
Also, seems that leadership positions go to outside folks instead of inside hires and promotions. Often, it seems these positions of leadership go to folks with out industry back ground.

    Advice to Management

Short term gains do not always lead to long term success

    Pros

People are great there. Flexibility. Ability to work from home some days not all. Great health insurance

    Cons

Learn on your own. Management does not care about workload. Knowledge base is bad. Promotions based off how long you worked there not skill level. To many managers that do not know the product. Takes one year to go from contract to full time 90% of time. Lots of India hiring shifting more to moving jobs there. 3 lay offs in the one year I was there.

    Advice to Management

More support for your support. Acknowledge good work more.
