    Pros

Hmmm, First in the Textile Business. Never have to worry about getting paid but many other worries exist, paycheck is always good

    Cons

The last eight or so years have ushered in new management personnel in key positions. They have abandoned the basic business principals of the founders and replaced it with personal greed. If you are part of the "club" or a "family" member, you will get promoted without merit as long as you say yes to everything even if it is ethically and morally wrong. Senior managers do not care about those that work at the plants and in the field. Their only concern is their bonus so they look the other way to those that cheat, steal, lie, manipulate numbers and commit fraud all in a reaching an number on a spreadsheet that has no true value. If you are Alsco customer, better be a corporate account. If not, your service will suffer, your prices will sky rocket just so corporate accounts can get the best at unreasonably low prices. Very few people above the plant level are competent. Many are old retreads that blew out their worth many years ago.

    Advice to Management

To the Co-CEO & family members - Do not hesitate, get rid of all field and corporate managers or you will continue to lose customers, loss money, lose lawsuits and lose your 125 family business. These senior managers have shown they don't care about you or Alsco, so them the door!

    Pros

like I said until 2013 everything was great loads were ready all the time everybody was customer service oriented. You felt like what you did was rewarding.

    Cons

There are no values left at alsco management no longer cares about the customers and employees. The management team has no respect for anyone. They continue to take advantage of the customers and employees.

    Advice to Management

Replace the whole management team starting with the general manager all the way down to the management team in the service department. Look at why it is necessary to charge so much on specials you forget that you are a service company

  3. IT Department especially the Support Center is not the place you want to be.

    Pros

Your co-workers especially in other department and branches. The job itself is great and rewarding.
    Other departments. Lagoon day

    Cons

They do not believe on building upon your employees. Instead of helping the employees with certifications or training the upper management hoards it. Managers will scream at you, belittle you, and discriminate. A lot of the "good old boy" mentality; if you are the bosses "ward" member or neighbor you have it made otherwise be careful. An NEVER go to HR they will fire you.....maybe not right away but eventually. When you travel you have to charge the charges on your own personal credit card and then get reimbursed....could be a violation of IRS rules.

    Advice to Management

Build your employees up.....there not any management skills.
The more build up and provide training opportunities and certifications for your employees the better job and vested they will feel for your company.
There is a lot of discrimination and lack of trust.

    Pros

a paycheck... benefits.... pension... that's about it and I was being generous

    Cons

Where do I start, someone dear to me wakes up everyday at 230AM..... leaves the house and does not return home until 8PM....this is AGAINST THE LAW!!! It has been happening for sometime now, and I will report them unless someone in that organization takes a stand. Just because your staff is is hard working does not mean you work them to death..... I will be persistent and vigilant until this changes immediately!!!

    Advice to Management

How about going back to school and becoming education on how to run and develop a prosperous life/work balance..... and stop asking management or other employees to come on here and create false accounts to make the company look positive. the culture is disseminated.

    Pros

There are no pros to working for this company!

    Cons

POORLY RAN! Management has no clue what they are doing! All the way up to the general manager. Vehicles are in desperate need of repair. Constantly breaking down but safety is of no concern to management. Severe favoritism. Good old boys club. Health assurance is a joke. If the customers only knew! Constant blame on drivers for not having product. If the company does not have the product, how are the drivers supposed to deliver it?

    Advice to Management

Corporate needs to come in and get rid of all managers in a local level.

    Pros

Any pro that could be shared is the fact that there is a company car attached to the position.

    Cons

There is no structure to how information is passed down to customers. There tends to be little to no accountability, therefore, it is hard to change a decaying system that's in need of an urgent overhaul.

    Advice to Management

Better communication and trust in the managers to execute the mission and purpose of their office. Some sort empowerment for managers to resolve customer issues would help limit customer frustration and distrust in the company.

    Pros

Finding another job and getting out of this pathetic excuse for a company

    Cons

Everything is a con. Pay, unaffordable benefits, backbreaking work, terrible work environment. management,, no room for growth, no raises, no reason to want to do anything other than what you have to do to keep your job. coworkers are terrible, work conditions even worse, broken down trucks, petty cheap conmen owners, need I go on?

    Advice to Management

Keep your job at ALSCO. Nobody else would hire you to manage anything. You couldnt manage your way out of a wet paper bag.

    Pros

If they ever got their act together and figured it out !! the industry is not a bad environment to work in.

    Cons

Very long work hours and no reward for it. It's a hostile work environment with management at times. And the worst thing is in the last ten years there has been EIGHT Genreal managers and 18 Service manager so what does that tell you about the company.

    Advice to Management

WAKE UP!! Put A team in place with qualified personal..and be consistent
