Current Employee – been working at Alsco full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – It seems to me that the upper management cares deeply about its employees. Here at the Branch level, they are concerned about the bottom line, but that is inorder to keep the work force steady and to avoid lay offs and downsizing rather than lining the owners pockets.
Cons – Plants that require Union membership, unions are so outdated, and unnessasary.
For the most part, they enter a plant only when the need to negotiate a contract, then they make the work force feel good by buying a few pizza's and selling them a line of bull that the majority buys into, then disapearing and sucking the dues out of poor production people like me.
The rules and work rights are already in place by goverment rules. so what does the union do for me? nada!
Advice to Senior Management – Be procactive and keep growing the business to keep employees jobs.
push affordabe benefits to employees and their familys. And Communicate company needs and goals to the entire work force, not just the management.

Pros – very supportive and family orienetated work enviroment, upper management is very sincere, and willing to help you help yourself, very diverse group of employees and an amazing non racist atmospere. alsco will help you shine in many ways, since i have started working at alsco i have grown from the inside out, i am truely happy where i work.
Cons – very hot in the summer time, almost unbarable, there are not really any cons to working here, we get paid weekly, we make alright money, there are not alot of demands, just work hard and do a good job doing it, besides that be respectful. can you really complain about that?
Advice to Senior Management – keep doing what you are doing cause whatever it is, its working, we all really appreciate your support and the compassion you show us. you all really make all the differance as to how the work enviroment feels. and that my friends is where it's at!!!

Pros – always given something to work for. If you perform you will be rewarded. Family like atmoshpere. Can talk to management if you need to about anything. Overall great place to work that is involved in the community and there for its employees.
Cons – My job in paticular can be very time consuming which means less time at home. i get tired alot from kickin ass all over our competition, so if we could not be so awesome that would help :)
Advice to Senior Management – my feedback as an employee of alsco to my management would have to be thanks. Thanks for all the opportunities that you have provided for me and thanks for the rewards when i meet my goals. and just for being there in tough times for more people than you know.

Former Employee – worked at Alsco
Pros – Potential to make as much money as you try to make. A very independent job, no boss looking over your shoulder, you are out driving a delivery route, so the only time you have for a boss to hawk over you is before you leave and when you come back. But if you do the job, you can get in and out, and have a stress free work place.
Cons – Well the weather is a big part of it. Snow/Sleet/Rain you have to deliver the product. Also, you are encouraged / rated on your upselling abilities. It's kinda awkward at times, "Hey Customer, would you like to smell our new Mango-Tango Urinal Cakes?"
Advice to Senior Management – Well, there is very little potential for promotion. That isn't saying that your pay won't go up, it's just saying that after driving a loud truck for a few years, you might be ready for a new working environment, which means a new place of employment.
