    You have been warned. Its a career suicide

    Assistant Manager (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsAfter active asking by an manager, HR; I am writing this review. However could not convince myself to lie. So here is the true story. Not much to list here.
    They do offer transport to and fro. There is nothing else that comes to mind.

    ConsNo respect or value for people. Couple of examples: After slogging away, I came to know another person had been hired at almost double my salary for the same job. Manager didn't show any respect even with any good work done. And all this when I was rated as a high performer... It is sad.
    People who can kiss upto their seniors, are sure to succeed here. Promotions happen so fast for such people. If you are one of them... this is a great place for you
    HR team doesn't have any skills. It is just a bunch of incompetent people led by a couple of bullies
    No role clarity or personal growth.
    There are a lot of things to write but I guess you have a picture now. Its your call what to do if Altisource calls you :)

    Advice to Senior ManagementI can't suggest anything to Ivy league graduates who think everyone else besides them is an idiot.

    No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    5 resignations in a single day.

    Technical Leader (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    Pros1. Pay.
    2. You can leave the company within 15 days if u resign within 3 months of joining. (This is what saved me)

    ConsI was part of a team called LRM in Consumer Analytics division.

     I shud have doubted them as soon as they agreed upon my expected CTC without even negotiating.
    I was wondering how on earth can a service company pay that much. Soon after joining and speaking with the director I realised their funda. Basically they target people from Gud product based companies with a nice JD, which is no where related to the work you would be doing and pay what ever they demand .
     I had seen the Glassdoor reviews before joining , which was very bad. But thought it might be only in some division. But trust me the reviews written are 200% true.
    The management thinks everything in the world is money. They expect employees to work and deliver from the first day 14 hours a day and also on weekends. And since they pay gud money they think people don't bother.

        Trust me 5 of us resigned within 15 days of joining and more followed. And we didn't had any offers. Still we cud not convince ourselves to stay there

      There will be no documentation or knowledge transfer or domain training. You r expected to deliver from day one.

    The behavior of management and HR are even pathetic. It can't be explained in words here. You will get a mail from hr and manager for petty things.

    Its a BPO . Its not at all a software company. You have to swipe in everyday, wear formals. Etc etc.

    You can see tens of people leaving everyday. That's why they have recruitment drives every weekend .

    Its not just with my division. Its the same with all the division.

    Advice to Senior ManagementFix all those mentioned in cons. Stop bevaing like a BPO and start acting like a product based company.
    And stop thinking that everything in this world is abt money. There is something called work life balance which you should understand the meaning of

    If you join this company after seeing this review then god bless you.

    Associate Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsGood salary, if you are pet to manager then good hike every year.

    Cons* Ocwen is the only client.
    * impossible dead lines.
    * They say they are Product based company, take my word its no were close to product based company..
    * No proper career path.
    * Useless HR team.
    * Worst managers and directors (In Consumer Analytic team).
    * Worst work culture.
    * They will say flexible work hours after joining they would expect you to work for more than 9 hours including weekends.
    * Don't join the company by just looking at the pay. it would be the dumbest decision of your life if you do that. (Specifically while joining to Consumer Analytic team).
    * Best place for butt kissers.

    Advice to Senior ManagementStop treating people like slaves. hope you are aware that you are hiring Engineers not people from magic school

    In a Mess

    Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsVery hard to find positives where so much drama is on. Coffee and Tea is good.

    ConsWorst possible place to work. If you cannot find a job elsewhere, then this is your place. This is a BPO company masquerading as software development center. Your work performance is the least important thing here, but Political performance is important. Incompetent people hire even more incompetent people and now Bangalore center is full of them. If you work well, your manager will become insecure and will fire you. The US team is not aware of the worst things happening here.

    Most of the work is sham. QA team at least has well defined deliverables. Development team full of incompetent leaders who produce code that does not even work. Severe infighting exists among teams just to impress their bosses. Junior developers are actively prevented from voicing their opinions and concerns by senior leadership.

    Advice to Senior ManagementKeep it up.

    Getting Worse by the day

    QA Manager (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsNice announcements from time to time to keep everyone excited.

    ConsThe QA group is mechanically testing things. The india leadership team is busy - trying to look busy. Every line of code has like 10 bugs in it, and QA is expected to test and provide feedback, and it comes back again with 10 more bugs. Endless loop here.

    The development managers are only interested in managing their incompetent bosses - who in turn cannot think beyond fancy presentations, and keeping the USA team entangled in their presentations instead of fixing bugs.

    Depressing state of affairs. Many 'excellent place of work' kind of reviews here are created on the behest of india management itself - obvious from the content; they contain 2-3 lines of praise and no meaningful content. This is example of extent of lies going on.

    Advice to Senior ManagementHow long can you continue with fancy speeches and presentations. Lies get caught some day.

    Rotten Place

    Junior Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsSome good announcement from time to time about exciting work.

    ConsThe place is totally confused. There are island groups in the company, each unwilling to talk to one another. Hire and fire culture is rampant. V large number of employees have tenure of only a few months here, and many who cannot find jobs elsewhere end up here.

    There are managers and directors who are not only clueless but incompetent. It is common to work on tasks that no one understands. QA and Support groups are in bad shape for this reason. The development group is responsible for keeping manager happy, not for doing work. If you disagree with your boss, you will be fired.

    It is common for one group not to talk to another, because everyone wants to take credit for doing nothing. There are some next generation software that is in development, but it is a joke in the company that everyone knows about, but afraid to talk. If you talk, you can lose your job.

    Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to sleep until you are discovered.

    Never work for this company!

    Product Manager (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsIf you can "network" well with the Top Management, then good salary, rating, promotion is assured!

    ConsLots of politics
    No HR systems/processes
    Pathetic culture
    Confused Leadership
    No role for IT people - Trying to position itself as Technology company by paying higher salaries but in reality there is no meaningful role
    Hire and fire policy leading to confusion - Even senior leaders are asked to leave after 3 months if they do not "fit"

    Advice to Senior ManagementPlease start treating employees with respect

    Horrible organization to be associated with!!

    XYZ, They Are Yet to Decide On the Title (Current Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsWork wise its brilliant; and yes! they provide transport FREE of cost and headquarters at Luxembourg, although not sure about onsite opportunities. This is how the recruiters convince you.

    Cons* They are not sure of the role and title once they interview you
    * Start your work early and end late, very late
    * Sr. Management sits in US and decisions from them are harsh on employees
    * They bind you with fear
    * No set process or policy. It changes how each one wants it
    * Horrible culture
    * Lot of micro management
    * Cant carry phone to work bay, deposit at the security
    * Stereotyped, preacher and follower kind of environment
    * Zero Brand image

    Advice you to think before you join. Consult friends before making a disastrous decision.

    Worst possible place to work

    QA Manager (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsThe compensation is ok, there is transport and some fun activities from time to time.

    ConsWhat the company wants to be is no one knows. QA team is asked to test some Next Gen projects, which either don't exist, or are so bad quality that requirements collection happens that time.

    No release letter given, proper exit formalities are done when you leave. You are asked to contact the company in few months if you are interested to collect such documents, but no one replies to your emails or picks up phone. Unprofessional behavior.

    Essentially totally directionless software development, high on talk, zero on delivery. Many fancy people hired, who just sit and create even more confusion. For any software developer or QA, this is the nightmare place.

    Not Good

    Software Engineer (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    ProsSalary is paid on time.

    ConsYou cannot install any software on your machine, for this you need to go to another team which will security review your request and then ask for multiple approvals, only then you can install anything.

    No internet access, again many levels of approvals needed.

    Depending on your title, position, you may be given or denied various things like level of internet access. Very old world way of working. Without creating ticket, no support team will do anything for you,

    Most managers have their favorites, and all your work will be discounted if you are not one of them. Unprofessional in this regard. Too many people join and leave within a month, that says something about work culture.
