Current Employee – been working at Amadeus Consulting
Pros – The company does a good job of giving employees time off from work. Their benefits policy is pretty good and they try to engage employees while they are at work. This used to be better, but they have turned to "corporate" events that are spurious. They do a good job of letting employees try new things and are tolerant of failure.
Cons – Vision is not clearly communicated to the company. The only consistent vision is that people need to work harder so projects are not so far over budget, how that can be accomplished is never relayed. The technical leadership has been eviscerated through turnover and firings for "bad attitude" which is code for calling out things the company is doing wrong. The company is in a constant fire-drill mentality.
Advice to Senior Management – Move to a more niche marketing and technology approach. The company tries to be good at everything and ends up spread too thin. We advertise expertise in technology that we have no experience in and then put pressure on the development teams to figure it out within very tight budgets. A more cohesive and attainable vision needs to be communicated.

Former Employee – worked at Amadeus Consulting full-time
Pros – - Exposure to many technologies
- Developers eager to help each other
Cons – Honestly it's easy to see that many of the 5 star reviews here are fabricated by the management team, which made me feel responsible to supply a more truthful assessment (you can tell by the cons not really being cons!) Real cons:
- Hollow use of management buzzwords - such as 'empowering' employees. No real empowerment occuring
- Lack of any mission or vision - if you interview with them, ask anyone what the mission or vision of the company is and they won't have any idea
- More focus on earning a buck than maintaining credibility as a quality software company
- Complete lack of organized training for employees.
- Don't get on the CEO's bad side or you will either a) lose your job or b) never move up in the company, ever. Awesome attitude for a CEO that shows up 1/2 day for three days a week.
- Impossible metrics targets - Metrics are great, but not when they are unachievable. Even worse when the bar gets raised the next year even though you couldn't meet the existing year.
Advice to Senior Management – Create formal training programs. Send developers to conferences. Rebalance metrics so that more than 10% of employees can actually achieve them, especially when bonuses are involved. ...and quit fabricating Glassdoor reviews to inflate your score. You should be reading these reviews as feedback you can use to improve the situation, not mask the problems.

Former Employee – worked at Amadeus Consulting
Pros – Diverse projects. There used to be some tremendously talented people there to learn from. If you're lucky, you'll be able to read some of their code some day. Junior developers will learn to become mobile developers quickly.
Cons – This company has been growing for 15 years but is still the same size due to attrition. When you read about the great opportunities to work with the best, the awesome culture, the open and encouraging environment... Those things are all gone, since a major leadership shift several years ago.
Advice to Senior Management – It's not to late the fix the deteriorating culture. Quit the lip service and just decide who you are and then be honest about it.
