    Pros

Exposure to all aspects of business, good compensation, opportunity to advance both vertically or horizontally, good networking, excellent distribution experience.

    Cons

Upper management is very rigid, expectations are often unrealistic, relatively poor working environment (no AC in Las Vegas DC), culture is "cultish", things move so fast the human element is often lost, many hourly employees are extremely dissatisfied and are challenging to manage.

    I worked at Amazon.com

    Pros

Amazon.com has a great benefits package for their employees, and the pay is pretty good. Most of the people are really pleasant and hard working.

    Cons

The company uses up temp workers and spits them out like garbage. They have unrealistic quotas that seem to be set arbitrarily by people who have never done the job. The quotas create a very competitive environment in the warehouse (people trying to get the best/easiest work) that makes for unsafe conditions. The repetitive tasks lead to injuries that the companies safety department won't acknowledge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try doing some of the jobs before you set quotas for them.
