    Pros

Having three phone interviews and went to the local office. Four hour in-person interview. Phone interviews consisted of technical questions and in-person interview consisted of technical and personal questions.

    Cons

Incredibly smart peers and huge career impact(would be vary on your team) My team was great. Whenever u asked a question to your mentor, they will gently answer to your question.

    Advice to Management

Need to learn. Sometimes they need you to learn new programming language even you have not had any experience.
A little pressure of completing a project early.

    Cons

Not your typical 9-5. There's always something to be done, so I wind up working more hours.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Fast paced development and release of products and features.
It has 'It's the proposal and not the proposer' culture.

    Cons

Requires dedication to the team and to the company, especially around holidays.
Some teams have on-call rotation that can page you any time of the day.

    Pros

Amazing place to work and benefits are great! This company is up to modern day and it shows everyday I step foot into the building.

    Cons

Long hours, but mostly I enjoy what I do so I don't tend to worry about that. You shouldn't have any problem when working for Amazon.

A lot of different projects on different platforms

    Cons

    Strict Deadlines
Strange works times - Star from 10 end at 19 (with 1 hour lunch break)

    Pros

It was my first internship so I can't make comparisons, but I enjoyed working on a project that had immediate impacts with smart co-workers. The internship confirmed that I love working as a software developer.

    Cons

Maybe it was because I was an intern but I felt it was hard to approach some of the people in the other teams.

Each team in Amazon is different, but I'd say I got a pretty great team!

    Pros

-Amazon reviews the code that is submitted to production, so you have an opportunity to grow as a developer.
-My work environment is very conducive to collaboration and constant feedback
-I can write code that is handling Amazon.com production traffic within a week or two. I feel like what I'm doing is actually useful.
-My team has a very high standard for unit tests and other testing strategies, which in turn help you write better code.
-Very flexible work hours. You can come in at 6 and leave at 2 or you can come in at 11 and leave at 7. You can work extra on some days to get an hour or two off on other days. Basically get your work done is the only standard, which makes me a lot more likely to work well.
-My team has a large diversity - five nationalities, both genders.
-Cereal for our floor is a plus!

    Cons

-Being on call. I'm part of a pretty central service to amazon, so being on call usually means getting paged for a decently high severity problem.

    Advice to Management

It hasn't become an issue yet, but there are three reasons I could see myself leaving the company for:
-Little support for women having and raising children
-No sponsored opportunities to go back to school. If I want to go back to school, I'll quit and then see who will hire me for my new skillset, rather than Amazon being guaranteed my work.
-My team does not have a level at which you are no longer primary on-call. SDE III's and people who have been there for 7 years are still being woken up at 3 in the morning.

    Pros

    - A lot of interesting projects
    - Proposed compensation was well above that I expected
    - I've got my green card in 2 years after first day
    - Great CEO with very ambitious plans

    Cons

    - not much benefits in office (no free food etc)
    - on-calls
    - if you are not doing well in your current project, most probably you will be fired - no chance to switch if you under-performing

    Advice to Management

Sometimes person just not right for the project. So restriction to change project if performance on current project is low - kind of harsh.
