    Pros

    A great company with long term vision that also offers a chance to work with smart people;

    Cons

At any high growth company, you might find yourself inadequately supported. Sometimes, that's where the stress, long hours and conflicts come from.

    Advice to Management

It's not the employer's job to bring out the best of an employee. It's its core interest. So work on that.

    Pros

    - Decent/Competitive Pay in Comparison to equivalent positions
    - Immediate Benefits
    - Generous PTO (Paid Time Off)

    Cons

    - Company claims to give employees empowerment to speak their mind but rarely does anything become of the "employee voice"
    - Some in Management can be Pushy, hypermetric centric

    Advice to Management

Don't drown out employees regardless of whether you're in agreement or not. Given them an opportunity to provide value input without immediately disregarding it because of their stature within the company.

    Pros

Benefits start on your first day of work. Insurance, personal time and vacation . Many different shift scenarios. RSUs vest after two years.

    Cons

Ten hour shifts, a lot of walking (5 to20 miles per shift). Lots of rules, no enforcement. Very little management follow through. Lack of honesty in upper management.

    Advice to Management

Many workplace problems at Amazon could be solved with common sense. If the rules that are in place were enforced, many problems would disappear.

    Pros

Good corporate experience, good management style.

    Cons

Amazon treats contract employees like second class citizens and doesn't recognize talent from within the contract pool because of it. There is also a lot of prejudice in job selection there. The majority of the corporate workforce are white males, which is great if you are a white man, but sucks for the rest of us who get passed over for lesser talent.

    Advice to Management

The whole corporate mentality needs an overhaul, but prejudice is hard to fix because they would first need to admit there is a problem.
