    Pros

    - Truly an international organisation with design in Israel, development and testing in India and client sites across the world.
    - Great place to learn about telecommunications industry and leading products used by the heavy weights in the industry
    - Great peers

    Cons

    - Low pay and long hours
    - Training was limited unless you were lucky and the client wanted someone with a specific skillset and no one was around and you happened to put your hand up to do it.
    - Dismal bonuses

    When you see an attrition rate so high, you should take note and wonder why...

    Pros

    The company have really great culture to work in. They take care of your basic needs in office.

    Cons

    Manager are still in mode of being a developer . Due to which they end up performing technical stuff and lose on managing people and their expectation.
    Ultimately resulting poor performance by people.
    This is is no more a product base company

    We need need managers not micro managers.

    I worked at Amdocs as a contractor

    Pros

    The work is high-tech and fascinating. Some great colleagues too. Fascinating locations worldwide.

    Cons

    I found the management arrogant and aloof. This resulted in a poor relationship with the customer as well as with suppliers.

    Bring in managers who show respect to people.

    onsite on the cost of technical expertise

    Cons

    bad bad management, worst culture, worst managers, worst HR, politics everywhere, lack of knowledgeable people, no learning, zero technical expertise, good performance is never appreciated, low salaries, worse industry hikes, buttering is the only criteria for anything good that will happen to you.

    remove old managers who gives no good input, take high salary and do politics.
    follow policies and not politics.

    Pros

    I wish i had ONE...
    NOthing to brag abt worst management worst leads,worst HR.

    Cons

    Leads provide No Guidance(not their fault,THEY THEMSELF know nothing)
    You have to give interviews even after joining the company.
    Worst Company for freshers
    WOrk not at all challenging...
    HR people dont listen and JUST ARE THE PUPPETS OF MANAGERS.

    Please try to become a company before trying to become a wonderful company..

    Flexible timings,WFH facilities,Free Snacks,Nice office decoration,Friendly team members

    Cons

    Heavy politics. If you dont have a project you are gone.No bench to accommodate resources till a new project comes.No process in anything be it technical or managerial processes.Manager's ratings are final,no facility to raise your concerns against ratings.A totally hypocrite company wherein they will do 1000 rounds of skip leveels,1-o-1 blabla but would never act on the concerns made.

    Improve the situation else you will be short of talents very soon.

    Pros

    1) Recognition and financial rewards in projects are exciting (if you manage to get them in a large team).

    I am not able to see much Pros after experiencing work at other companies.

    Cons

    Overall very less respect for developers.

    1) Very less industry standard technical exposure.
    2) 0% respect for work life balance. If you don't work for stretched hours then you might get poor rating in evaluation.
    3) Very less flexibility in switching technologies. All depends on luck when you were first allocated the project.
    4) Continuity of job is very uncertain. I have seen many intelligent people were given poor rating and were asked to leave (victims of office politics). Now they are in superb companies like Amazon, Walmart, Redbus, etc
     5) Onsite opportunity is history now. There are sites but travel department is not friendly. People deny going abroad these days.

    Read the cons and try to improve it (although i have very less faith :) )

    I have been working at Amdocs full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Amdocs is good company as this is world leader in telcom billing. Working here, if lucky and get good exposure then it's a learning for you and specially if you are capable to make yourself free from the 95% garbage work (no learning/monotonous repetitive work not giving any broad picture) which happens to be a lot here.

    Onsite opportunities with conditions:- it depends on ur luck to get the onsite opportuniy some get in 1 year some don't get in 10 years even following dedicatedly.

    Cons

    1. very bad management.
    2. very poor indian style planning. the management includes weekends in their plan in all projects.
    3. Even though you will propose managers that I would work 3 hours extra per day, 5 Days please make my weeked free. they simply reject as due to poor indian management brain.
    They are very greedy and always want more, doesn't matter how much you give them. As a result resource in project goes 1 hrs in lunch .5 hrs in Tea, 1 hours in pantry and 10 minutes walk from the 12 hr they report too. That's mandatory as anyway even you seriously work and give more in weekdays they are going to ask you to work in weekends without a single penny extra.
    4. mangers don't have to work excpet chasing and calling employees day night.
    5. very poor apprisal system. technically strong and weak people get same salary hike as a result every year technically strong people leave.
    6. lot of buttering and favorism.

    The only problem is ass hole managers. The managers in India are not worth their posts. They like buttering and persons who just says yes yes and does nothing. They are moron and smotionally fool. As a result technically strong people who are responsible for the project success eaither get the same salary than a non effective team mates or get even some time lesser. I think they don't know the meaning and importance of the appraisal. I want to ask Insraelee management please fire some managers from India, specially from top.

    Pros

    I honestly cant think of any

    Cons

    Company has a hard working culture just don't expect overtime or standby payments for all your hard work. The yearly bonus is derisory and apparently arbitrarily allotted.
    You won't get any thanks, or training, or career progression or indeed any interest in your well being; work/life balance is non existent.
    Management style is, stereotypically, about what you'd expect for an Israeli company and largely involves being shouted at.
    Staff scuttlebutt has is that you need to be Jewish to get on at Amdocs; sadly this really does appear to be true.
    You'll be working on an outdated, proprietary software stack so even if you can convince someone to teach it too you (harder than it sounds), then it's absolutely no use anywhere but Amdocs.
    Based on previous examples redundancy is going to be statutory minimum so it's not worth waiting for that either.
    I'd have rated them lower than 1 if this site allowed.

    Market leader, delivery record, installed base, financial stability

    Cons

    Negative work culture and political environment, terms such as teamwork, partnership, caring for the individual and work-life balance are not part of amdocs DNA or company values. The only thing that counts is the bottom line, but how you get there, is not important. Management doesn't see the "Human part of the Resource", which makes it one big "body shop"
