    Pros

Extremely collegial company. Great work environment and a lot of flexibility for those who want to work part time and ease back into full-time workforce. Very smart people, committed to doing the right thing for Amex customers. Such a large company that there are significant opportunities to develop different skills and work across numerous areas/groups.

    Cons

Tremendous amount of process with all the financial services regulation can make jobs very tedious. Due to either human or system errors, employees often spend significant amounts of time remediating cardholder issues.

    Pros

Salary, Benefits and bonuses/incentives for working hard

    Cons

Too many layoffs. Then after 6 months, they hire people that are less qualified to do the same job.

    Advice to Management

Get back to loyalty for tenured, mature employees. Too much corporate politics going on.The senior management gets big fat bonuses while everyone else is afraid that today may be the day they get laid off.

    Pros

Opportunities to work hard and excel. Great culture for a large company. Good benefits, competitive compensation (although challenging to catch up to market if you start too low).

    Cons

Bureaucracy, they are trying to become more nimble/agile. If your salary starts too low, difficult to catch up to market as you advance.
