    Pros

Freedom to work on new ideas
    Flexible hours
    Well paid

    Cons

Trying to hire in the UK but not enough office space to do so
Much of the senior management is in America so few chances to get yourself known

    Pros

    Well paid
    Work-life balance very good
If you're interested in money and uninterested in people you'll do well here

    Cons

Extremely competitive rat-race environment, everyone is chasing a promotion.
    Very autocratic, suck up culture.

    Advice to Management

Encourage people and leaders to enjoy their work rather than dangle the proverbial promotion carrot 24/7.

    Pros

    - flexible working hours and organization culture
    - friendly people , good to deal with. Unlike many of the major banks in the city!
    - comfortable environment easy to get and remain in comfort zone but then easy to snooze and snagnate with the attitude
    - Great company for women and mothers due to flexible environment. Great household name on the cv to sell in the future.
    -

    Cons

    - below market salaries - not at par with its competitors in the financial services sector regardless of whether you are in London or Brighton.
    - lots of talk not much action - impacts your career progression/promotions/ anything to do with an employee!
    - lots of stakeholders negotiations to get anything done. - that's normal for most big companies!
    -VPs treated like GODs
    - professional growth is limited. I stayed with the company for 2.5 years and did great in the team got early promotion as well. However titles changed , minor salary increment but not professional development or growth. Still doing same role just different title
    - love conference calls - face to face interaction is limited
    - all run by leaders in newyork. Performance ratings are a joke. You are given a rating without discussion which is decided by newyork.
    - increments at promotions are maximum around 10% if you get lucky! Typically 7-8%. Annual increments around 2.5-3%
    - always restructuring - which means you could be put in consultation anytime. Job security isn't great !

    Advice to Management

    None really

    Leaders follow a status quo,

    Pros

Great work/life balance, Contractors had flexibility to work from home - a real added bonus.

    Cons

"in-house external recruitment company " for temporary Executive Assistants needs to be reviewed - huge mark-up prices and Contractors don't receive the level of service as expected

    Advice to Management

To sort out in-house external recruitment company....

    Pros

I was lucky. I had for the most great managers who inspired me, promoted me rapidly and helped me realise my dream of living in another country.

    Cons

Mediocrity and poor people leadership is tolerated and never addressed. The company makes decisions based on what suits the 'boys club' in upper middle management and not on the customer and competitive environment.

Too much short-term thinking, not enough vision, individuality is not encouraged.

    Advice to Management

Instead of paying lip service to things like growth mindset or speaking up actually create an envionment in which that is actively fostered and reflected in internal compensation structure.

Definitely not the worst place to work, but can be very frustrating!

    Pros

    Good benefits and extras
    Strong Stakeholder Pension Scheme
    Fundamentals are good

    Cons

Some areas of the company seem to encourage incompetence
Some areas are struggling with the rapid change in the marketplace
Everything is done by committee, which takes a very long time

    Advice to Management

If you truly want to deliver fast transformational change, then thinking about how you change from the odd matrix/functional setup which the company is configured in now is needed

    Pros

Good work life balance if you're working in the right team for it. Nice culture and good people.

    Cons

Too many presentations and assessments made on who you are rather than what you've done.

    Advice to Management

Bring in a commercial leader to objectively review each business unit and its people.

    Pros

Fortune 500, blue box company. Great insight into the corporate world and the mechanisms of how it works.

    Cons

Lack of career support, old fashioned-Politically driven environment

    Advice to Management

Review career development system, adpat a more open book policy on internal progression.
