    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit using and manipulating employees and clients.
    The Reality:
Their psychological power of manipulation is very compelling. These people are masters of manipulation and intertwine their own religious beliefs to add to the perception of their conviction and belief in the business. Do not be fooled. Make them prove what they say. They instill an environment of brutal competition, pitting associates against one another for greater production and the loser is often publicly humiliated and stands to lose money as a consequence.
When you've had enough and want to seek other employment. you will hear things like, "mental toughness", "would you quit on your hopes and dreams", "quitters never win".....they will mess you up in the head so bad that you stay on, plugging away, going deeper and deeper into a very dark place. This is also part of the psychology surrounding building a "team". Now you are directly responsible for those you have brought in under you and to the clients you have sold products to. Most people find it impossible to quit under these circumstances that they continue, regardless of their personal dilemmas. And by the way you never actually get to keep the "team" you build if you foolish enough to stick around. The divided it almost other members of management. Without cause to keep you where they need you....plugging away.

Be prepared to spend all your all and money on meetings, seminars, self-improvement, getting licensed, "office costs" "recruiter fees". Assist "plug in fees" and attending "Big Events"..... The only actual big event are for the RGA's and MGA's any underneath them is used, manipulated and disgarded

    Pros

Great opportunity for anyone with discipline. Supportive atmosphere with advancement achieved by performance not seniority. No politics here. Just positivity and great leadership.

    Cons

Sacrifice must be made in the beginning by working hard but that's true with any significant accomplishment.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for less than a year

    Pros

American Income Life offers unlimited opportunity. I have only worked for AIL for a short period, however I have already experienced overwhelmingly positive results. With the advice and guidance of my management team, as well as my own hard work, I have already been able to gain financial stability and advance into management. The work environment is extremely upbeat and there is always someone willing to help out or give advice if needed.

    Cons

In order to be successful, you must be highly motivated and willing to work hard.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The advancement opportunities are amazing. It took less than three weeks of me being hired to be put into a management position. I have no experience I this field so it would be hard to say that anyone would be unable to do the same. I am so blessed to have been given this opportunity.

    Cons

I guess if you don't like working with happy fun people, as well as making great money this probably wouldn't be a good fit for you. I cant really think of any.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I love what I do, and who I work with, and work for. They give you all the tools you will need to succeed and are very passionate about your personal success. They consider you as important as themselves and I couldn't ask for more.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are many pros to becoming a member of the American Income Life team. Flexibility of schedule, income potential and lead generation are just a few. As an independent contractor, I can work as little or as much as I like, but obviously, the more I work, the more income I generate. We also have an outstanding PR team that generates our leads from the member based organizations that we work with like labor unions, credit unions and associations. I have never had to do any cold-calling or door knocking, and there is no ridiculous requirement to bring in a list of friends and family to try and sell. I am in the driver's seat for my career and I can control how quickly or slowly I advance. American Income and their managers will give you all the tools needed for success, it's up to you to use them!

    Cons

Some of the challenges we face are pretty standard to the insurance industry. If you don't have a desire to work hard, and I mean hard, this is probably not the industry for you. It takes time and commitment to get going in the business, but If I was going to start out with any company, it would be American Income. But for as much as I work, 6-7 days a week, I choose to work that much. my philosophy is to do the things I have to do now, so I can do the things I want to do later.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing. I love when our office gets visits from our management and team leaders. I learn something new every time I see them. Torchmark stock has increased over 200% since 2009 so we must be doing something right.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for more than a year

    Pros

We are like a family. Everyone is always eager to learn from one another, help each other with EVERYTHING, work together in management and out of management. No matter what your goals are, just communicate with people within the company, pick their brains, be open minded, have a career track or a ten year plan. It's simple really, we love what we do, we love one another, and we help working families. I was raised a Union girl and I will always support Union workers. I've recommended this company to a lot of close friends, relatives, and even strangers. We do amazing things, and we're passionate about what we do which really makes a difference. Culture is everything in the cooperate world.

    Cons

It's very high paced environment. If you're not willing to work really hard then it's probably not the best fit for you. I enjoy working so it's not too difficult but I've also experienced many different cultures within the company because I've moved so much with it that I'm starting to learn how to be patient, which is great too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is always something to be learned from someone, people who think they know it all and have it all are the wrong people for management. You have to be selfless to be a leader and I think that's what a few managers lack but MOST of the upper manager's I've met in the company are amazing, giving, loving individuals who have passion for what they do and are passionate about extending every training tool necessary for other's success.

I have been working at American Income Life full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I am making more money than I ever have! My experiences and skills are accepted and utilized every day as I am succeeding, being promoted and getting the chance to change peoples lives. I am surrounded by skilled and willing leaders who press me and help me to see my dreams come true and the dreams of others.

    Cons

I am working harder than I ever have... but I realize I was fear driven and lazy- that's why I wanted someone else to be the responsibility taker.
