Pros – The benefits are good and it is a friendly environment

Cons – Lack of pay and no room to move up

Advice to Senior Management – Provide more internal growth

Pros – Possible to make a large salary from sales commissions. Excelent CRM software for keeping track of clients. The more loans you close the better leads you receive. Good training program to prepare you for the job.

Cons – The call center that was supposed to generate interested leads would often transfer calls from angry consumers that were not interested in securing a mortgage. This wasted a lot of time through out the day. Constantly being told to pick up the phone and take more calls. Forced to stick to a script when talking to customers. Had to meet quotas, and if you didn't you would have to come in on the weekends. Boring sea of cubicles. Sales managers were incompetent and not helpful.

Advice to Senior Management – The leadership needs to show more respect to employees. They also need to divi up leads more fairly, not just for the most successful, otherwise it will be impossible for new employees to succeed.

Pros – Good compensation. Nice to be able to work from home. W2ed position which is rare in the mortgage business. Lot's of opportunities to work. They really do have good rates.

Cons – My success was too dependent on my supervisor. Only he could lock loans so if he was late, I suffered. Both humiliting and embarrassing! That part of the system was broken

Advice to Senior Management – You would be wise to better monitor your supervisors. Choose them wisely and give them management training. You will have better retention if you do.

Pros – Genuine W2 work from home opportunity.

Cons – supervisors held too much power over my production. They might lock a loan, they might not for you. If pricing changes before they lock it and you loose the loan, you get blamed for low production. Sense of urgency must be shared from the ground up.

Advice to Senior Management – Monitor your supervisors.
