I have been working at Amphenol

    Pros

The pay is one of the best around.

    Cons

Constantly moving bosses to different dept., very unorganized on how they get the work out on the floor, they are constantly changing how things are done

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If they want more people to work the week end they should not make them do 8hrs at a time. We have lives out and would like to spend it with our family. They should ask the workers how they can improve things, instead of coming up with ideas of there own. The workers know whats going on, on the floor.

    I worked at Amphenol

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule
Little to no supervision on day-to-day activities, determine your own priorities ++++
    Close knit local office
    Good benefits

    Cons

    No opportunities for advancement
    Division is being dissected
    No career paths
Almost no staff, and little to no support
    Competitive with sister divisions
Hard to work with a company that doesn't respect the work of others
Priorities shift with the wind with no real advancement in anything, just spinning the wheels

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to work with employees instead of against them, too many times navigation through the company was impeded by internal politics at Germany.

I have been working at Amphenol

    Pros

Casual Dress, Not a lot of hierarchy, Intelligent co-workers

    Cons

Senior Managment makes a lot of unilateral decisions. Makes promises it doesn't keep. Has trouble listening or hearing what employees can contribute. More of a closed minded vs. open minded approach to doing business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to be more open to new ideas and new approaches to managing people. Company would benefit from opening up its inner circle, and having more of a give and take with its employees.
