    I worked at Analog Devices

    Pros

Tighten staff and projects to pursue volume growth. New leadership to put business above technology will bring short term profits.

    Cons

Lose diversity in projects and some talented staff. Long term profits may be sacrificed because the resources were cut. People may leave to seek for new opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

High end products with high growth margin are always the key for high profits. However, the volume growth is always low. Without low end products at low prices, volume growth is hard to achieve.

I worked at Analog Devices full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and work/life balance. I learned many things over the years working there across several different roles. In general, as an engineer, I felt well taken care of and was a happy employee.

    Cons

Salary was on the lower side of industry. Often slow moving due to typical big company issues. The company also struggled a little with resourcing business opportunities outside of the comfort zone of high margin industrial-type segments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maintain the great work/life balance, however, try to improve compensation package.

    Pros

If you work with a good manager, you will be well taken care of. It all depends on who you report to. The work life balance is good. Great benefits.

    Cons

Takes long time to get promoted, and office politics as usual. Pay is okay, not that great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote employees in a timely basis.

I have been working at Analog Devices full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

up to date technology and new process work in ADC's

    Cons

Lost their connection with their employees. They used to be very good at that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take time to engage conversation with your employees and get to know their likes/dislikes as well as their strengths/weaknesses.

I worked at Analog Devices as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Smart people, nice co-workers. I worked at Analog for just under two years and enjoyed my experience with my co-workers the most.

    Cons

Large corporation and drab office environment. Working at Analog means working in a sea of dull, gray cubes. I also had a bad manager which soured much of my experience at Analog. They wanted to bring me on as a full-time employee, yet that meant bringing my laptop home and working after hours, so I remained as a contractor since it benefited me more.

Good Company to work for, but the highest level of management are white collar crooks.

I worked at Analog Devices full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Their technical work is very interesting. The people are great to work with. The pay is pretty good. There is plenty of opportunity for developing skills, once you get your work done.

    Cons

If you don't have a ring from MIT, you are looked down upon. There is never any chance, even temporarily, to put yourself first, however, when it come to personal or professional development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a career discussion with your employees. And don't ask the employees to make a sacrifice, such as taking a 10% salary cut, while the CEO pockets $53 million.

I have been working at Analog Devices full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

This company still believes in technology, and will continue to fund some research projects. We've also adopted some new tools to improve data based decision making on what projects to fund.

    Cons

Simultaneous added bureaucracy and layoffs have hurt the culture. New middle managers want to generate more revenue by demanding it from the thin workforce. Segment teams are not clearly a glowing success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Are your workers happy? Engaged? Company surveys don't tell the whole story.
