I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They give great benefits and have very lax hours. This is for actuarial analysts. They offer many resources to pass exams and place your growth as a high priority.

    Cons

It is difficult trying to balance work with studying. Work should always come first and studying for exams ends up being far more cumbersome at a company like Aon Hewit.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time

    Pros

Campus like setting with tons of amenities and they really seem to care for their employees.

    Cons

Location is difficult to get to.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

After the formal interview with 5 people the follow-up took weeks at which time I took another position. A weekly status even if it's "your still in the running" would of been nice.

I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good benefits program and for senior employees, an ability to defer compensation. What a great benefit. Great matching on 401K.

    Cons

Stressful; expectations are very high for selling and perhaps unrealistic with growth expectations on margin.

I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Significant growth potential, very smart people, forward thinking culture. Company is filled with very smart people and creative leaders. Performance measures are extremely clear, robust systems to track career goals.
    Amazing benefits.

    Cons

Not as great as before the acquisition. Somewhat "cultish"- you love it and you're "in" or you're not. Creative leadership can also be viewed as non- decisive and constantly changing. Huge waves of great talent have left the organization.

I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Work from home, very flexible schedule, great support system in place, no micormanagement

    Cons

During Annual Enrollment you will log a ton of hours, go to work, come home eat dinner, and log back in.
Because AH is the world leader, we use a lot of proprietary systems/software. This doesn't allow employees to learn modern 3rd party software and technology. Company has TOO MANY referenced locations and resource locations. Knowledge is everywhere and it is exhausting to find it all. Pay is below market value

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep modernizing the firm! Great support to employees keep it up
