Good Company as a first employer!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsHR still reinventing itself, so a good time to work for the company as it transitions. Very strong culture, good comfortable environment. Great managers and hiring managers to deal with. Good relationships with vendors.

ConsSome roles are pretty confusing and it feels the departments are kind of unorganized. Managers try to promote people they have previously worked with without focusing on their strengths or weaknesses. If you know someone in the company you'll be promoted.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease be little more open in communication to your employees.

    Stuck out for the long-haul...

Systems Administrator (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsBenefits are really great, especially the longer you work there. The people are awesome. They provide training and tuition benefits so you will learn a lot from working here.

ConsThe opportunity for promotions rarely come up, the leadership either does not communicate or looks out for his or her own interests.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet your people fix current processes before trying to move into the "future"!

Rewarding career with new challenges to keep it interesting

Vice President (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsNew ideas are allowed to be developed.
Hard work is rewarded and recognized
The mission is clear and has a positive impact on society
    Great co-workers

ConsIt is easy to get absorbed in the work and lose sight of your work-life balance.
Corporate politics are strong and can slow down promotion opportunities
Government regulations make normal business rule hard to use.
Too much compliance oversight for non-student activities and they do not under business practices

Advice to Senior ManagementWatch out for your top talent. Many are leaving and more are looking at new competitor opportunities.

    Good experience for an intern

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsAs an Intern they took really good care of us, exposing us to the data centers, their revolutionary classroom, and the different execs. Pay was really good for interns too which also included housing and travel stipends.

ConsBeing introduced at a point with a lot of restructuring which included adopting new practices, software, and layoffs. There was somewhat of a feel of disorientation and employees were expected to learn and do a lot more than expected in the past.

Advice to Senior ManagementFilter out the employees who are coasting due to seniority and recruit bright, young, motivated talent.

    Challenging environment

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsAlways busy with new projects and making improvements to processes and technologies. You get to use new technologies and tools. Great workers who are always ready to lend a hand. Working remotely is a nice option.

ConsKeeping up the work pace can be a challenge. Project schedules can be aggressive so it is still important to do it right so it doesn't have to be corrected later.
