I have been working at Apple full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

We work with geniuses - in every department, We create innovative products that thrill our customers and create new product categories - who else can say that?

    Cons

ZERO ZERO ZERO work/life balance. Execs have been saying for YEARS that they understand and will make it better. But in actuality, it gets worse every year! It is obviously top management LIP SERVICE because if they meant it, they could fix it tomorrow. They have hundreds of BILLIONS in the bank. If they REALLY cared about employee work/life balance, they could bring aboard the right number of folks to make that issue dissolve. Sick of hearing the lies. Just don't lie about wanting to fix it, when they clearly DON'T care

I worked at Apple full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of fantastic people to work with.
    Enjoyable atmosphere.
    Very good benefits.
    Competitive pay.
    Understanding employer.
    Good stock options.

    Cons

    Stress!
Advancement can be tough and have more to do with networking/how others view you rather than your work.
Training and advance notice can be foggy at best.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a healthier approach to helping employees manage stress.
Pick opportune times to help employees move or enter different roles before they get the notorious 'burnout' feeling.

    Pros

Great coworkers, benefits are good, higher than average pay for retail.

    Cons

No real career paths in retail. Development isn't really important to some managers. I feel like not all stores are the same.

I worked at Apple part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, nice people and a very convenient job considering you get to work from your own home. They send you a iMac and an iPod which you can use on the job. Schedule is to modify and they let you take on an enormous amount of hours during the busy times of the year. So if you play your cards right you could make a lot of money if you take advantage.

    Cons

Job was good for the first few months. I noticed that it started getting really repetitive and started getting irritating. The phones seemed to always be busy and there is only 8 seconds between calls. This was my first experience with a call center type of job and I honestly think the type of job just isn't for me. However, I would think that in regards to other call centers this is definitely one of the best.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice to management. They do as best as they can living in a different state than you.
