Skills learned booth technical and customer service wise
Health benefits are great vested day 1
    401k is very nice
    Employee stock purchase

    Cons

Retail management is a joke. They used to be from other tech compaines now are former retail employees selling jeans. Have no idea how to deal with purchases over 200

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your people. Know your product. At times the customer is wrong some technology isn't designed for what the customer wants.

I worked at Apple full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Apple as a whole is an amazing place to work. Very open minded and just really cool

    Cons

Corporate in Elk Grove is ran by abusive men. Hostile work environment, one red headed no educated procurement manager, physically and verbally attacked the female employees below him. Then padded their personal file to justify his actions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look into Elk Grove corporate management. They are not following the Apple way, and really could cause more lawsuits.

I worked at Apple full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Absolutely the smartest people I've ever worked with, and I've worked all over the world. They do everything they do better than anyone else. No detail is left without scrutiny. The scrutiny does not leave any room for failure which lends to their success, but doesn't allow for mistakes.

    Cons

Senior management does not trust anyone, especially each other. The trickle down result is that everyone is on edge in the company. The saying is fail fast, then learn from it. But in Apple's case, it's fail once and then lose all credibility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Build trust by promoting stability in the senior ranks of the company.

Management. If you know how to kiss butt, and you like to complain, you'll probably fair out OK.

I have been working at Apple full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The option to work from home in some departments, discounts, holiday pay and some of the benefits are nice.

    Cons

The customer-facing support roles have just become like any other call center. Employees are disconnected, morale is low, there are not many perks, no holiday bonus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We used to have frequent group-training sessions that helped to keep agents connected and feeling like part of the Apple team. These have become very infrequent. Morale has fallen and people are not as invested in their role or the company as they were a few years back - ask anyone in a support role if they still love their job like they did when they started.
Management did not nit-pick at employees as much a few years ago whereas now it is definitely a "call center" environment. Efficiency has become one of our top goals. We are basically factory workers and our production and efficiency now matter more than our customer-engagement. A few years ago compliance and efficiency were barely looked at. Employees were happier and more engaged in their role and we had much better vocal feedback from our customers than we do now. People will always meet your expectations no matter how low you set them. I feel like this "policing" of employees sets a low standard of work ethic and quality of work, and the output reflects it. If people do not have a strong sense of job security, they are not going to feel happy in their role. This is reflected in work output.
It would be nice to get one nice Apple gift or bonus rather than the junk swag we receive (like popcorn or keychains) a few times per year. Also, we no longer have a $0 deductible healthcare plan available. This was a huge employee perk until 2015.
Upward mobility is nearly impossible. Changing departments is impossible, unless you want to move to AppleCare, who is always looking for tech support reps.

    I worked at Apple

    Pros

    Good People excellent customer focus

    Cons

Poor opportunity for upward mobility. Requirement to change personal views to conform to company culture. Politics are very high in determining your career path. Rewards are not based on merit but how much people like you and the way you treat others. Top producers are not recognized unless you are connected (liked) with the right people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Reward people for their contributions.

I have been working at Apple full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are the best. Also learn a lot about how to deal with difficult situations that help elsewhere outside of work.

    Cons

The time commitment they expect for the wages they offer. Pretentious, snooty, politically correct, HR approved answers to specific questions. "One size fits all" mentality when it comes to workers' work/life balance needs.
