    Pros

    I love meeting so many new people every day. Repairing computers and iPhones is fun. As well as helping people fix problems. You're often a hero.

    Cons

    Pay is not great considering how profitable Apple is. Retail schedule makes it very difficult to have work/life balance. Management does not really make an effort to make that better.

    Advice to Management

    Trust the technicians.
    Make more of a focus on supporting us support customers. I feel your job should be to support the internal customers.

    Pros

    Greatest people that you could ever expect to work with in a retail environment.

    Cons

    Very rigid employee policies and full timers are expected to be available without much discretion given to preferred days off.

    Advice to Management

    The Credo states that "Our people are our soul." So, try to treat your people as if they actually have souls.

    good pay. good benefits. you get to use lots of nice apple equipment. fast paced work (if you like that)

    can have overbearing customers. need to learn lots of new computer programs. what you support can change.

    Advice to Management

    do a better job of staying with your team. in my four months i had four different managers. it was hard to stay feeling like i was connected.

    still a great product and company there are a great many plusses to them

    since the los of Steve Jobs the new management has shifted focus off of great customer service and products and moved it to more profit driven models and metrics

    Pros

    Work from home, decent pay.

    Cons

    No work/life balance. Work long hours, have to work at least one weekend day and very few holidays off.

    Advice to Management

    If you have no tech support experience you should not be a manager. It blows my mind that Apple would even hire a manager with no technical expierence to manage a tech support team.

    Innovated idea
    Team work. All the teams I've been on we're all full.
    Work environment
    Monthly company events.
    Ergonomic support to adjust work area specified to each person

    Cons

    Hard to get converted to perm employee. No PTO, paid holidays. When company shuts down for thanksgiving and 2 weeks during Xmas contractors still have to work.

    Advice to Management

    Be clear about your dead lines. Would be nice for contractors to get some discount on Apple products

    Great benefits and great team members to work with.

    Management in the Hawaii market is horrible. They will go on their little power trips and throw anyone under the bus that will benefit themselves.

    Pros

    Base pay was ok and commission was good at the beginning. Good benefits package.

    Cons

    Mixed bag over overly aggressive sales managers, to bad partner management in the bestbuy locations. Commission was always cut and dried up like a desert over the years. Dishonest coworkers with lots of shady business practices endorsed and signed off by management. Limited promotion opportunities

    Advice to Management

    Keep your Regional managers in check and make sure the favortism isnt given for the yes boy mentality. Ensure that dishonesty and overly aggressive and questionable practices are eliminated. Make more levels of promotions available for cross-transfer to different areas of the company
