I have been working at Applied Materials full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very motivating environment, intelligent people, cutting edge-technology. Very competitive salary and benefits, very great chances for personal improvement and evaluation.

    Cons

Days could get long and stressful. As with all large companies a lot of bureaucracy is involved, could take a while for decisions or turnover. Project management and project staff should work better in maintaining project workflow.

    Pros

It's fast paced, dynamic, challenging and highly educational.

I have been working at Applied Materials full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Best job I've ever had. I only work 50 hr /wk. Way better than Google, Apple, or LAM. But not Samsung. My friend works at Samsung, and he gets bigger bonuses

    Cons

CEO Mike Splinter is a joke. Been there way too long. Salaries seem lower than other companies. If you have a bad boss, you're job will suck anywhere

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Applied Materials

    Pros

Team work, challenging projects, lot of exciting things going on. Experiencing what's happening at the front of semiconductor technology and etc.

    Cons

Again, challenging environment lead to high pressure at the work place. Lack of resources and need to face multiple customer un-reasonable requests all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of the employees, who are the most worthy assets in the company. Focus and excel on the core products and do not invest in low tech and easy to enter sectors by what Wallstreet is talking about.
