    Pros

fun coworkers, decent training, uncapped commission

    Cons

    I worked at Apria Healthcare

    Pros

Few pros at this time, national company , some great people to work with, base salary comes every two weeks, non matching 401k

    Cons

Constantly changing focus, rebranding at least yearly, poor processes if any at all, patient apathy, disregard for Medicare patients, Poor communication from top down

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay focused with long term planning, quotas on time, quotas not changing radically every quarter, true quality patient care ( including Medicare patients)

I worked at Apria Healthcare full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

competitive pay, nationwide, several departments to work from

    Cons

to many working programs easy to make mistakes, poor training and information, schedules changed without notice or conversation, took several weeks to get time off approved. Management has a" hands off" approach.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep staff in the "know" especially on policies and procedures that could hinder your department.

I have been working at Apria Healthcare full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Managing your own territory and planning your own day

    Cons

Pay is not in line with the competition, doing tasks that seem to have no end, collecting paperwork, but not getting credit for work done, continuous policy and commission changes as well as turn over for employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get input from employees who work in the field and deal with the day to day instead of making decisions that do not align with the true work that is being done to build business. Do not continually change policies and create distrust in your employees who have worked hard to where they are currently.

    I worked at Apria Healthcare

    Pros

The hourly starting rate was somewhat higher than other similar jobs.

    Cons

Management that is promoted and promulgated via the who you know system

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the rank and file worker and respond with a desire to honestly make it a better workplace and consequently, a better support mechanism for the customers.

I have been working at Apria Healthcare full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent pay, some of the most skilled coworkers in the industry

    Cons

extremely stressful work environment, Middle and upper management does not appear to value employees. 50-60 hours a week work week to be successful

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More oversight is needed over management above the BM level. Management seems to run unchecked and conducts business in a most unprofessional manner.
