I have been working at Arby's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Product, Great opportunities, and managers eat free!!! One of the fastest growing Fast casual restaurans in America

    Cons

For a while Arby's was constantly changing there brand image which is not a good thing in this business however I think #meatcraft will be around for a long time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be aware of everything going on every second of the day. Have full control always follow Arbys principles and hire a great crew!!

I have been working at Arby's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work in the Richmond, VA franchise and the standard is extremely high for Arby's in central Virginia. Great people and leaders who help promote people from within.

    Cons

Outside of RVA franchise, corporate is very poor in service standards and quality. Very low standard set with uniforms, employees, and overall appeal to guest.

I have been working at Arby's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Pretty good management, mostly friendly environment, friendly coworkers, and advancement opportunities if you're a hard worker. Very flexible hours in my experience (usually pretty steady and fair hours) although any more than 40 is overtime and not allowed.

    Cons

Can get stressful during rush times, and as with any fast food job a lot of people just don't work out or quit– can be very stressful if you are low on staff as well. LOTS of cleaning to do (although from customer perspective this is good) can be very hard on your body if you're working 8hr shifts on the daily. Service times can be hard to hit during rushes, coupon drops can make your week a living hell. Customers can be rude occasionally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect employees, cut some slack. Sales and service times are important but no one is perfect!

I worked at Arby's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Management gave me some benefits while I worked, such paying food for half of the price. Training at a lower level job like a cashier was very straightforward. Most of the tasks were fast-paced during the lunch rush but more steady-paced afterwards, so there was a good balance of pace at work. The people working at Arby's were extremely friendly and they also worked very hard, so I had pretty good relationships with everyone.

    Cons

I was not paid very much (minimum wage) but it was only for a short period of time. I worked about 30-35 hours a week so it was pretty tedious but it made up for the low pay that I received. Other than that, there was not many cons working at Arby's except for the long hours (that was expected of course).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The upper management was good but there could be more communication between the supervisors and the restaurant manager.

I have been working at Arby's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

My teacher Ray Bly, was the best thing about this job. He show me what it really take to be successful in this business.

    Cons

I do not like the "letting them go" process. When you find out your people suck let them go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn a lot quickly and move up.

I have been working at Arby's part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There was alot of good things working at arbys for 5 years. Made alot of friends, alot of the crew was cool and around my age. I had the job when i was in College so i could relate to alot of my coworkers.

    Cons

They stopped the raise after $1 increase even after working there so long. Closing as late as we did on the weekend and then having to wake right back up a couple hours later and open was annoying.

    I worked at Arby's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits packets is comprehensive. Good insurance, vacation pay, personal day.

    Cons

This market is a bit isolated for the rest of the company so it doesn't receive the support form corporate that it should. Also little follow up on Area Supervisors allow for them to be dishonest and overbearing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Human resource issues should be handled fairly, quickly, and equally. Do not allow Area Supervisors to bully general managers into doing unethical practices.

I have been working at Arby's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great people to work with, my manager is flexible with my hours since Arby's is not my main job, and the work is not hard.

    Cons

Minimum wage and minimum wage work like cleaning bathrooms, dishes after dishes, and basically being someone's jerk. My back hurts when I close because I do so much work with barely any help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Help more with sweeping and mopping, don't send people home early, pay more than minimum wage and people will stay.
