I have been working at ArcelorMittal

    Pros

Flexible work environment, decent pay and benefits, great people (engineers) to work with.

    Cons

Work location and travel commute to the manufacturing plants can be burdensome. The industry can be a dangerous place to work for some. Sometimes the work is not very challenging.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to find ways to satisfy the young engineers. Keep them challenged and encouraged in the industry.

I worked at ArcelorMittal as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Lots of work to be done. Many opportunities to move up. Some really great people to work with.

    Cons

They contract out pretty much everything. Lack of people in the right places.
Many systems need to be brought into modern times although this takes time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Modernize the mills to make them more efficient (although this takes money that isnt there)
