It has been nothing but a dream filled with endless opportunity to grow and develop.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat pay and benefits.Incredible culture.Overall incredible company! The company really takes csre of you. They also give you the tools and training to succeed.

ConsVery slow to get things done administratively. The on boarding process was not that great.Took two months to get all of my administrative permissions.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork more closely with lower level employees to keep them better informed of big picture goals.

An awesome culture with talented employees willing to share their knowledge.

Strategic Seller Account Manager (Current Employee)
    Pittsburgh, PA

ProsFor the first time in my career I am treated as an adult who can manage my time and projects without being micromanaged. The culture is one where you are given the ability to obtain your goals on your own schedule whether that be 8am or 8pm it's up to you. This concept actually makes you more productive as you chose the best time to optimize your time.

ConsDue to the size and complexity of the various departments you have to be someone who is willing to reach out to others for guidance and product knowledge.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue promoting the culture, never allow it to die!

High pressure, poor work-life balance, upper mgmt priorities skewed by SAP acquisition

    Engineering Manager (Current Employee)
    Sunnyvale, CA

ProsStrength of the people in general. Pay is good.

ConsUnrealistic dreams, insufficient funding to actually deliver. Many projects have gotten killed as a result.
Really heavy process creates too much friction. Lack of willingness to prioritize and really fix things.
Things now worse with the SAP acquisition. Is quite political.

    Run, Fire

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsBeer Friday was nice. San Fran is not a far drive from Sunnyvale

ConsShort and simple, Ariba maintains a system and employee culture where they are far too busy putting out fires and far, far, far too busy to consider doing anything at all to prevent them from blazing out of control.

Advice to Senior ManagementOnly you can prevent forest fires

Overall Good company to work for

    Support Engineer (Current Employee)
    Pittsburgh, PA

ProsLot of smart people to learn from, cutting age cloud technology- Can't get any better

ConsIn technical Support, Company does not hire fast to back fill positions, therefore ignoring quality of life for employees who are crushed with double time workload.

Company mostly goes for inexperience at first line management level which creates tons of wrong intricate situations and high employees turn over.
The scary thing is to know that they seem to feel every thing is fine.

    Not that great!

    Manager (Current Employee)
    Atlanta, GA

ProsThe benefits and vacation time are good. For some teams, it has a very flexible working hours and locations. Pays are OK as well!

ConsIt depends on the team you work for. For customer support organization, if you are young (fresh out of high school), and good looking (for women), you will get promoted very fast. Otherwise, you will be working at the same job forever. For the commercial team, it depends on who you know and not what you know. If you are a managers puppy, you will get promoted really fast! Overall, there is no direction with the management, no clear guidance! And half of the time, they don't even know how to do their jobs! That is why it got acquired by SAP.

Advice to Senior ManagementI know they don't care, so no words!
