    Pros

No one bothers you. Nobody care. You get paycheck and they get theirs.

    Cons

No communication. I still don't know who my real manager is after 1 1/2 years as it changed 3 times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

First get your act together instead of lecturing and changing head office

I have been working at Aricent full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

As long as contract is there, they respect and make you work. Payment is on time. HR gets involved to support administration issues

    Cons

Very less pay to employees and not even a welcome lunch/dinner or yearly bonus gift. No perks. Just annual salary and once contract is over, they leave you on road.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at how employees are directly working at client sites and get feedback to have relationship with employees.

Be careful about applying for full time positions now, going through layoffs in November 2012; be sure to discuss which business unit you would be in

I worked at Aricent full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

benefits package was good.. can't really come up with anything else.

    Cons

Cut throat, nobody trusts anyone, new Sr Management is aweful. In their infinite wisdom, deals are being lost due to extensive "Gating" process. This will bit them in the _SS becaus the job market is pretty good and everyone is looking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If the plan is to pare down the workforce by being as obnoxious and unmotivating as possible, then this is a brilliant plan and should be studied at all Grad schools. They company is in a really bad position and better do an amazing employee turnaround if they expect to survive.

Lost its focus and direction due to lack of vision from senior management. HR can not control attrition. Global business focus is missing

Current Employee - Software Engineer in Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I have been working at Aricent full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Learning programming tools for a fresher

    Cons

A lot of time is wasted as requirements are not specified completely of what is to be done. It seems as if they think of employees as machines. Have to stay in the company office even if the assignment is done.
No proper communication with the managers, employees are expected to seek information from peers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Appreciate the problem solving approach.
Though the management talks about efficiency of algorithms they never appreciate good algorithms and there is no recognition of people with good problem solving skills. It is as if the management just wants the work to be done.
