    Pros

The retírement benefits are excellent, although they are being reduced for incoming associates. You can travel the world over if you are a mobile manager.

    Cons

Unclear and conflicting goals that create confusion and frustration. Evaluation system is flawed and is misused. This creates animosity amongst the associates.

    Advice to Management

Care more about your associates. Don't just talk about doing the right thing, actually do the the things that keep good people around.

    Pros

The work was pretty easy going, we just kept the floor clean and made sure things were in their right place. We would also help customers as they were looking for sizes or opinions.

    Cons

The management is really stressed and would push that onto the employees. It became a hard environment to work in, but I don't think that this is necessarily true for all of the sections in the stores.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees when they are telling you something isn't working, and let people who work well together, work together. Instead of splitting them up.

    Pros

If you like good benefits (vacation builds up quickly, health insurance is the best I've ever seen), this is a good place. If you want a competitive salary, look at the total package. We're retail oriented, so the hours are rigid. If you went to a store and they were 10 minutes late opening, you would be unimpressed that they were open 10 minutes yesterday after closing time. That's how they operate even in the offices.

    Cons

The rigid hours, lack of comp time, and distance from everything in the Dallas area make workers use some of those generous vacation hours to have offsite lunch hours, unless of course you go offsite to lunch with your boss. Bosses learn to manage expectations of their workers, often by using language that causes the gullible to believe something that is not true. Ratings are not honest. Advancement opportunities are more to those who conform. Performing resource units remain in place for continued use. If you can play well, you can advance. If you're satisfied with job security, you can work for a long time.

    Advice to Management

Quit referring to yourselves as "the leadership". You're good managers. Be satisfied with being accepted for what you do. And try a little harder to listen to what your employees are saying. Remember that joke about "If I said something that you could interpret two different ways, and one of them is bad, I meant it the other way."

    Pros

Good hours, great manager. Part time does come with sick pay and vacation pay. Pay increases every six months depending on performance.

    Cons

Employees been there a long time making it hard to switch up routine. Insurances plan is expensive. Hours can be great or mediocore.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better with lousy employees. Plan more sales and events.

    Pros

Learning all departments, interacting with different peoples and benefits.

    Cons

Too many managers, too many people telling one person what to do. They need to be thinned out on the top.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking raises away from your employees.
