    challenging but great experience

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsYou are in charge of your success and are given the tools during training and have the constant support of your managers during the summer.

ConsYou work long days and sometimes it can get a little overwhelming when you have a rough day...or a couple days. Also the pay isn't great.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide more opportunities for time-off. Maybe a reward system. Its hard to work long hours every day all week and be the leader of your team and not have that recognized.

Great experience, but an extremely difficult and often frustrating job

    Sales Intern (Former Employee)

    Pros- Great resume builder
    - Increase sales skills
    - Build confidence
    - Can lead a team if you are an STL
    - Cool people to work with for the most part

    Cons- Tough product to sell
    - Very poor pay (but they don't totally screw you)
    - Annoying guidelines and rules
    - Goals are often unrealistic
    - Managers are often incompetent

Advice to Senior ManagementThe product is only going to get harder to sell. New products need to be introduced. Come up with better ways to motivate people!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe company cares about the growth of our interns. Fun atomosphere to work in! Enjoyed everyday in the field. advancement in company based on pereformace!

ConsThe companys payment of sales reps and full-time employees leaves much to be desired. Bonus structure is far fetched. Need more discipline.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease don't lose focus on what has made University Direcotories the company it was when I was an intern. Interns are the future of your success

Great job for someone interested in sales

    Local Sales Manager (Former Employee)

ProsGreat job for someone looking to enhance your resume, not for someone looking to make a career.

    Good commission rate
    Good hours
    Good Managers
    They pay for your training

    ConsHard to sell the product
Can be hard on people to go day after day and dealing with angry customers that had a messed up ad from the previous year.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo less roll playing during training and offer more real life examples of what will happen to you in the field.
