Former Employee – worked at Artech Information Systems full-time for less than a year
Pros – Nothing to say about the company.
Cons – Worst payments. Always some mistakes in the paychecks. Contacting accounts department is a nightmare. They don’t try to retain any experience professional. They hire lot of foreign workers on H1B and only H1B stick to the company because of visa issue. Company is only interested in Maximizing profits, don’t care about employee benefits. No benefits, Company does not contribute either health care cost or 401K.
Advice to Senior Management – Work with employees. Invest money on current employees. Look for long term benefits not short term benefits.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Artech Information Systems
Pros – Will give you a job if you have been unemployed for awhile. Expect it to be well below market rate. They do Sponsor Visas since that is the only people they can keep hired. Many employees are friendly and hard workers.
Cons – There is no management structure at Artech, as a result, there is an extremely high turnover rate. The executive team doesn’t care about its employees; you are just a number to them to get GM. They hire inexperienced people for less money and provide no training or a career path. If you don’t perform or if you ask for more money you are replaced with another inexperienced employee, and the cycle continues. Don’t expect any perks just horrible pay and the benefits are some of the worst in the industry. At maximum, employees stay around 6 months when they realize how bad it is and find something else. The only employees who stay at Artech are ones they bring on Visa Sponsorship so they have no choice but to stay and work like a slave with long hours, unrealistic targets and little reward. Even some of them have quit and moved back to India, it is that bad. Avoid working here at all cost unless you have absolutely no other choice of employment. If you are currently working there, polish your resume and get out ASAP, its much greener on the other side of the fence. As you see from all other negative reviews on the site, this is not an opinion, but a fact.
Advice to Senior Management – Appreciate your employees and give them a career path. Provide proper appraisals each year with market rate compensation & raises to reward hard work. (Raises over Inflation would be helpful) If you treat your employees like they are worthless and pay them way below the market rate, why would anyone stay there unless they had no choice. Artech’s revenue continues to grow each year due to the hard work of your employees, share this wealth with all of them instead of hoarding it to only the top executives. The greed and very poor management of this company will continue to hurt Artech unless major changes are made.

Former Employee – worked at Artech Information Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros – I cannot think of 1 pro to work at Artech.
Cons – Pay was low when expected to be a 24/7 employee and training was very difficult when language and culture was from another country,
Advice to Senior Management – Be honest and communicate that training would be provided from someone from another country with broken English.

Current Employee – been working at Artech Information Systems full-time
Pros – Good experience and exposure. Great client pool.
Cons – Company pays 30% less than market and competitors both in salary and bonus. Unrealistic targets. One can get 30% more outside. Owners believe only accumulating profits for themselves and will never think of employees. Very bad health insurance and employee cost for health insurance is EXTREMELY HIGH.
Advice to Senior Management – They need to develop one more layer of leadership....which might not happen at the current salary structure.

Former Employee – worked at Artech Information Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros – The people working at Artech are smart, hard-working, and skilled, but low salaries and poor directions by upper management hinder their growth and cause a high turnover rate.
Cons – - Long Hours and Little Compensation: Employees have been told that they cannot eat lunch together and are influenced to eat lunch at their desk instead. Salaries are well below market value and working hours are much longer than a 8 hour work day.
- High Turnover Rate: No one ever stays at Artech. The moment they realize what a bad situation they are in, they start looking for a new position.
- Unrealistic Targets: Sometimes 5 or 6 times higher than what has ever been achieved. Bonuses will be based around this so they are never received.
- Poor Direction Provided to Off Shore Team: The turnover rate in the India office is much higher than in the U.S. and mainly new college graduates are hired so there is a constant need to train people with no work experience on a constant basis. Candidates constantly are frustrated by the communication difficulties they have speaking with the employees in India and receive emails that are grammatically incorrect.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay market rate salaries and value your employees. Having a great group of people working for you that are knowledgeable and skills is much more valuable than having a revolving door of unexperienced people that are hired in an attempt to save some money.

Current Employee – been working at Artech Information Systems
Pros – They are constantly hiring. Use it as the last, but really last option to get a survival job.
Cons – They will stick to the lowest pay as possible, some employees get more some less. Independently of the experience. They don't care about people's career objectives. They just want to get money from you. They lack of experience on really analyzing resumes and sending the right candidate to fit the role. They promise without even a backup, they know it will not happen.
Advice to Senior Management – If you want to do good business, treat your customers well. Use your material well, in this case... the employee vs the company. You have to realize the economy is not helping and if you do a bad job it will sooner or later pay back to you that way.

Current Employee – been working at Artech Information Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros – Pays on time - (They know that if they dont, IRS/DOL would be knocking on their door)
Cons – Support staff keeps changing every other month. By the time you get used to understanding the communication of your point of contact, you will be faced with a new one. I guess they are located out side of US and hence they barely understand/read and write English. Communication is a big problem and I dont know what yu can achieve without it.
As your employer, Artech will NOT support you at any stage. I called the HR with a concern and he himself mentioned the dismal state of the company and how helpless they were. Obviously if the HR is not happy, how can they keep the consulting employees happy.
There are many Artech consultants at my client and we all are equally unhappy with Artech.
I have worked with some of the other staffing firms like Collabera, TEK , Adecco etc and they are much better than Artech in providing support through the employmnet life cycle. Use this is a last resort.
Advice to Senior Management – Please take some quick action to correct the above issues.

Former Employee – worked at Artech Information Systems
Pros – they have a lot of contract
Cons – No talent off shore recruiting system
Sr Management shouldn't run a 7-11
No opportunity for growth
Rely solely on their "Woman Owned Minority Owned" Status to get business

Former Employee – worked at Artech Information Systems
Pros – - Compensation was decent
- Notifications of changes to position or situation were prompt, communication was good
- Easy to report work hours and time
Cons – - Forced me to be a W-2 workser simply so they can repeatedly slash my compensation
- No benefits, (health, paid time off, etc.) even though I was a full time employee, benefits that were offered was horrible
- No advance notice provided when laying off employees
- Treated like a contractor, but listed as an employee, none of the benefits of being an employee
Advice to Senior Management – - Let people know ahead of time that there are STRONG possibilities that their compensation can be cut, especially in these times. My initial compensation they offered me was cut almost 30% before I was finally laid off.
- Word gets around, and simply employing people under W-2's so you can simply adjust their pay (usually in your favor) without notice is pretty sleazy.
