    Pros

Good Benefits Nice facilities. THATS IT!

    Cons

IF you've been in the auto industry and have worked for real dealers DO NOT WORK for Asbury. Management lies to there staff. Your money is ALWAYS wrong. they will never tell you what you made until the end of the month and it's always wrong. They love green peas anyone with any experience should never work for this company. Complete dictatorship and no teamwork what so ever. Highest turnover I've ever seen in this business. No room for growth at all unless you're a young kid that is willing to be paid nothing for a year to advance. Worst money I've ever made in this business.

    Advice to Management

Stop talking down to your employees. Stop telling your sales staff it's none of their business what they made.

    Pros

Learned what tricks to look out for when buying a car. Did meet some nice folks that quit faster than I did. Learned a hard lesson.

    Cons

No concern for staff, excessive hours for no pay, they will always find a way to not pay you. Expect you to lie to customers. Expected to make calls to people that are sick of being called by the same dealer for months or even years. No honesty in management.

    Advice to Management

Start going to church. Worst culture I have ever heard of. Consider how you would feel if your family was treated how you treat staff and customers.

    Pros

I do not recommend to work there.

    Cons

Company not organized. Managers are not trained on how to give on job training or coaching .. they screem all the time at everybody and for anything. They think they should treat people exactly same as they got treated when they hired :)

    Advice to Management

managers should spend time on listening to the problems / concern and not only concentrate on how to cut commission for the sales to get higher salary. Also they should spend money on TV Advertisement to be able to seel more cars.

    Pros

Work a ton you can make a little money in sales

    Cons

Constant changing pay plans and cutting pay
Arrogant management sent in by Asbury to dealership levee
Could not care at all about time off work/life balance
Tenure and time with company means nothing....they will happily tell you they do not need you and it is easy to replace you

    Advice to Management

I was at Plaza Motors in St Louis as a top sales performer for about a decade. Asbury is a CRAP company that simply treats employees poorly for no reason. Asbury does not understand the St Louis market, nor do they try to. What a POS place to work you have made what used to be a tremendous place to work.

    Pros

As long as you are spineless and a puppet, you will fit right in

    Cons

surprise pay and insurance cuts without warning. Railroad many longtime employees out the door due to 'excessive' vacation time and 'excessive pay/ benefits'.
Experience and knowledge do not matter, clientele relationships are not respected, total emphasis on the bottom line and who can be sacrificed without thought to improve the bottom line.
Hopeless and unethical treatment of employees

    Pros

Got to learn the automotive industry from a retail level.

    Cons

Horrible hours. 60-70 hrs a week. Work every Saturday and every other Sundays. Managers are not very supportive and a lot of favoritism. High turn-over rate. Sink or swim mentality. Benefits are very minimum.

    Advice to Management

It's okay to focus on the sales numbers but you have to understand there must be self development on the sales person in order to produce great numbers. And stop draining your sales person out. Happy employees are more productive.

    Pros

There are none that I can think of.

    Cons

Long hours, old school car sales environment, sub-par used cars, management has no "management" training.

    Advice to Management

Overhaul your corporate employees. Overhaul your working environments. Hire consultants to get rid of your old school car sales mentality.

    Pros

Income is ok but morale is terrible.

    Cons

Long hours, use threats and fear to manage employees.

    Advice to Management

Majority of managers are morons. They won't listen because they are drinking too much Asbury Kool-Aid.

    Pros

Payplan is decent, otherwise there isn't much. They have health insurance, and benefits. If you like to work nonstop then this is the place for you.

    Cons

Your days off are cancelled on a moments notice. There is no warning... you can show up and just be told that you aren't going home. Vacation requests are not granted. If it's a paid holiday that is your only day off and you will have to work extra through the week to make up for it. High turnover. Management uses threats and fear to keep associates in line. Prepare to work sixty to seventy hours a week, and still be disrespected, threatened, and intimidated. Management will remind you that hr has no power because the store gets result.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like real people and stop using intimidation. Exhausted and frustrated employees do not achieve the results you are looking for. This store needs HR.
