I worked at Ashford University full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Extremely well trained/prepared for the job. I really liked the vibe on the floor, and most employees got along with each other well. Some of the older reps, however, who benefited from old ED regulations and who made substantially more, had an arrogance that was not cool.

    Cons

Bullpen environment at times...not a clear path for promotion. The opportunity to participate in leadership development programs is based on interviews and eligibility criteria. One can meet the criteria, but not get much of an interview (the list of those accepted was known prior to the actual interview).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep the team vibe going...

I have the best job in the world. I work from home and I am designing new courses and teaching the classes that I want to teach.

    Cons

It is always busy. Rarely any downtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Ashford University full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are nice, they sponsor sports teams so they raffle off tickets a lot which is nice. Great pay and a lot of room for growth. They try to build their employees' leaderships skills even if the employee doesn't plan on staying with the company.

    Cons

My position is very micro managed. Literally every second of your day is accounted for and you will get questioned if you have like 5 minutes of time off the phones. People that call in are extremely rude and demeaning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

SSCs need a little more freedom to perform their duties, but overall management seems to care.
