    Pros

It's a job for those who are content with living pay check to pay check. There aren't many pros to this job currently unfortunately.

    Cons

The people that work here no matter the level make it hard for the sincere employees to succeed. They aren't open to people who speak up about an issue. You aren't wanted in upper management if you have an opinion of some kind. They say "do what you're told", I say just do your job. It's that simple.

    Advice to Management

Although they aren't able to tell everything that's going on until it has been approved to do so, don't lie about the situation. If you aren't able to say anything, say just that. Quit making an easy job difficult by fabrication the truth. Be open and honest and trust in your teams!

    Pros

At one time is was considered a very secure job, with no layoffs. This is not the case anymore. Company going thru reorganization - they are part of AIG.

    Cons

Pay was stagnate, increase only 2% if you were liked. Turn over for managers. Benefits were costly and they just discontinued the pension plan.

    Advice to Management

Pay a good wage and you will have loyal employees. Stop paying the Top management so much.

    Pros

The benefits are out of this world...Health, Dental, etc. The PTO is lovely also when coming in the door. Some of the managers are down to Earth.

    Cons

If you don't like being micromanaged, I strongly advise NOT to work here. No growth within the company. Many jobs are being outsourced. Layoffs are about once every 3 or 4 months and we're talking about 100 people at a time. Also, it's ridiculously hard to try and move up within the company. I was promised an IT job (what I went to school for) and was given a customer service job and that was almost 3 years ago with no type of indication of me advancing.

    Pros

Good people to talk to. Nice teamwork environment.

    Cons

No chance of moving up. Dead end job if you cant brown nose to managers.

    Advice to Management

Hire people based on skill set and experience. Not on beauty and size of chests. Most people who move up here are women with beatiful faces and big breasts.

    Pros

You are given copious amounts of paid time off, as well as every weekend off and many opportunities to work voluntary overtime

    Cons

Promotions are granted from nepotism, not performance. You can be the top performer in your team every month for years and be passed up for promotion instead for the lowest performer. Also, insurance benefits are a joke,

    Advice to Management

It's a business, not a fraternity. Don't snub your best employees in order to give your buddies better positions.

    Cons

Benefits are slim. Negotiate compensation upfront, very difficult to move up once you're hired.

    Pros

Most people are cool, 10% shift diff for the 2nd shifters, pretty decent benefits and paid time off (holidays and vacations), you can wear jeans, they are good about working with you if you need to leave early or come in late, if your a single guy you have plenty of options b/c alot of the woman their are unfaithful.

    Cons

It's not about what you know it's who you know, crappy pay schedule (twice a month 1st and 15th) lots of false promises, horrible parking, lot's of cliques and displays of favoritism, unless your a minority or gay don't expect much praise for doing a good job, training is mediocre, unreliable resource guides, continuous changes, and the office politics are worse than presidential election season

    Advice to Management

Hire mgmt that actually have mgmt experience, listen to your people, don't make promises you can't keep, lose the stigmata of 2nd shift people being the rejects and address more of the lazy people on 1st or perhaps adjust your work queues to fit with the shifts....

    Pros

Most coworkers are very nice to work with. Nice life/work balance. Flexible HR policies.

    Cons

Worked there for over 10 years. Poor training & employee growth; once you hit a certain level you reach a "glass ceiling" depending on who you know and whose shoulders you're rubbing, which creates a back-stabbing culture among coworkers with the same goals. You do an adequate job and you get rewarded, you do a good/great job, and you get taxed with more work/responsibility and no promotion.

    Advice to Management

Don't dangle the "promotion" carrot to your employees, unless you have a clear career advancement path. Don't say the company is not about politics and "circle of friends" when it clearly is.
