    Pros

Hard working people work here, and try to make the best of the situations.

    Cons

Accounting & system finances are all messed up. Many on the executive level are leaving or have left because of systemic issues. It seems like a pit stop until you find something better. I think they are about to sell to a bigger company.

    Advice to Management

Encourage open-forum suggestions and put them into action. Promote from within to encourage employees to view the hospital as one worth staying at.

    Pros

This used to be a good hospital but now it is all Excel and profits

    Cons

More and more critical care nurses in the ICU are being forced to manage 3 patients per shift. These are critical care patients that have to be monitored around the clock. Management seems to be oblivious to the problem. On 12/12/2014 8 critical care nurses had to each manage 3 critical care patients. The norm is one on one - in an emergence one on two. This is not a one time occurrence. It started about 6 months ago and is just get worse.

    Advice to Management

Staffing in the ICU is a ticking time bomb. More and more experienced nurses are leaving. Seems like the only thing that will get any attention is law suits. When they do come it will be easy to show that Atlanta Medical Center - ICU - was putting profit before patient care.
