    Pros

Good place to work, great benefits, good salary. As long as you respond and take care of customers, management stays off your back

    Cons

Lack of communication in some areas, but for the most part it is minimal and related to internal emails.

I have been working at Atlas Copco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You get a lot of responsibilities.

    Cons

It is difficult to move up the ladder (no support from HR and very little from management), so you need to do everything yourself. Salary wise, it is not the best employer. You should not work for Atlas Copco if salary is important to you. Also, almost everyone gets paid the same, irrespective of the hours/work you put in (typical Scandinavian company)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become better people managers and set the example yourselves. Atlas Copco still breathes the culture of a very masculine, rational, (sometimes macho), engineering firm.

    Pros

Great benefits and decent pay. Very good opportunities and global security. I also have an excellent boss.

    Cons

Major communication issues between the different levels of the totem pole.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on what would give better results as to the quality and flow of the job rather than focusing on streamlining everything for efficiency.

I have been working at Atlas Copco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

This company is very good for people who come from school.
Young starters who live at home with parents to collect some money to start own life .
You can learn a lot and after some years, you are ready for next challenge.
Do the same job for more than 5 year will stop further improvements.
Company is based on friends politics.

    Cons

People with high level university degree get all focuss on the spot and don't need expierience for management function.
People with lower degree will get no fucuss on the spot, need to work hard and don't get possitive feedback on the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

High level jobs for high level people is one thing ?
What about the others ?, management need to think how those people can have normal life in normal actual conditions with increasing costs and not higher salary, no company car and no cell phone like the high level people have ?

I have been working at Atlas Copco full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good pay, good vacation, no consequences from actions or lack thereof.

    Cons

No consequences from actions. Truly unrealistic expectations from management. Not enough time to properly and fully complete tasks. A lot of direction with little explanation. A truly cynical culture that will bring the most optimistic people down. There is no "engineering" to be done on the shop floor, you chase parts in a chaotic, disorganized warehouse. Stay away unless you want to work in a "job shop" setting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down and do it correctly instead of shooting from the hip and hoping you get it right. Quit worrying about making things "look good" for management tours and maybe try to work on truly honing in processes to make the numbers speak for themselves.
