I worked at Australia and New Zealand Banking

    Pros

Positive office atmosphere and upper management that shows unusual (in a positive sense) interest in the prospects and interests of its interns; good networking opportunities throughout the office

    Cons

Long work hours, which however is to be expected in the industry; revolving door of interns may be too quick for some wanting a permanent position

I worked at Australia and New Zealand Banking full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    * competitive salary and benefits - Salary is at par with its competitors within the banking system. It offers a wide range of non-monetary benefits such as gym membership, child care centre, novated lease, etc. It sponsors sporting events in which you could get free tickets.
    * good working environment - People I've worked with are generally nice and supportive.
    * diverse and inclusive workforce - They are against any form of discrimination especially during the recruitment and selection process.

    Cons

    * poor technical support team and IT infrastructure - Technical team often does not stick to the SLA of 1 day. It will take you more than 10 minutes waiting time on the phone before they could attend to you. Hold time is very frustrating.
    * inadequate training and development programs - They just give the minimum support for the staff to fulfil his role. They seldom hone employees who exhibit high potential.
    * limited career progression - Only a few gets to the top. Office politics often comes into play.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review your employee retention program and identify gaps within your system.
