I have been working at Autodesk full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

-Great people who are very collaborative
-Office space in SF is amazing and the perk of being able to use the workshop at Pier 9 is a major plus!
-The emphasis on maintaining a good work/life balance is really nice
-The company is doing so many innovate things which makes Autodesk a really exciting place to work!

    Cons

-Sometimes things move a bit slower than I would like
    -Would like better company-wide events

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create greater opportunities for people invest time into projects that aren't directly related to their work, but would benefit Autodesk as a whole.

I have been working at Autodesk

    Pros

It's clear that the company has worked hard to make sure that employees are paid a fair wage - I haven't heard people discussing salaries, except to repeat the mantra that "geek is a four letter word for a six-figure salary."

Autodesk takes very good care of employees !The benefits package is more than generous and employees really don't have much to worry about. The new Foundation helps employees help others, which is fantastic.

    Cons

With global companies come global hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage that work-life balance. Step away from desks and screens.

    Pros

Work-life balance, relaxed culture, not overly political. I love all the dogs in the office on Friday afternoon. The amenities (café, gym) are great!

    Cons

    I can't think of anything.

    Pros

Friendly & relaxed environment. Everyone excited to make a change in design industry. Great location (San Francisco). Innovation culture.

    Cons

When I was there, the work seemed to be a bit siloed. Different teams working on a single product are located separately and function separately.

I have been working at Autodesk as a contractor

    Pros

I love the culture around the company. They believe in their people. They want them to be the best professional-self. Many roles are extremely flexible. Working from home, in San Francisco, in San Rafael.

    Cons

Most of the workers in positions like mine are contractors. No holiday pay. Contingent workers do not participant in company events/meetings like other FTE. Can be made too feel less inferior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire those contingents! They love the company, they want to be apart of the ADSK Family.
