A more than fair wage but limited advancement opportunities.

Process Operator (Current Employee) Allentown, PA

ProsThe compensation for the job and what it entails is top notch. A nice bonus is paid out yearly based partially on your own performance. The majority of the individuals are a good bunch to work with. The industry is a strong one with growth possibilities.

ConsThe individuals who are not good to work with really make it difficult and refuse to advance to the modern age. The advancement opportunities are touted but rarely appear. There is a sense of favoritism from the supervisor's to certain employees but albeit a small sample size.

VC drive profitability up while sacrificing future growth and talent pool.

Sales Manager (Former Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsIf I was on the same pay plan as the CEO, I'd be happy as a clam.

ConsUnfortunately Im not on the same plan as the CEO and need to keep my job until retrement.

Advice to Senior ManagementShare a bit more with the employees and don't get rid of those when their options begin to vest.

    Just Purchased - Still Adapting

R&D Engineer (Current Employee) Allentown, PA

ProsAvago Tech just bought LSI. Still adapting to the new management style. Looking forward to the opportunities offered at the workplace. I'll have a better evaluation when I've been with the corporation longer. At some point we all adapt to the culture and the new management style.

ConsA bit of a transition from the old culture to the new culture at the new company. I am sure when the dust settles, and the new company really gets going, that things will be good for all employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep growing and pursuing high margin business where you can find it. Competative benefits are always most helpful.

    Great Talent excellent products

Senior Engineer (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsIn the technical engineering areas world class talent abounds. Great place to work but not as good as the old Agilent/HP

ConsManagement focused on getting paid very little attention to people development.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo a little more management by "walking around" Bill and Dave had the right idea

ProsLiked the office culture and benefits.

ConsI do not see future Personal Growth.

Advice to Senior ManagementWould like to see growth in technical or management career ladder.

Mature company with not much to do

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsEveryone I interacted with was friendly and inviting... I didn't stay long enough to learn about the training opportunities

ConsThe office culture is very vanilla... the company has an established product pipeline and everyone seemed focused on releasing those with very iterative updates.

    A fare company.

Senior Engineer (Current Employee) Fort Collins, CO

ProsFlexibility. Company is growing. Employees are reasonably treated. Company's benefit are among the leaders in the same industry. Close to residential area.

ConsToo many inexperienced managers. Most of managers are promoted from a certain group of people. Employee's performance eval is too simple and promotions are not related to the accomplishments. Too much politics.

Advice to Senior ManagementSetup a system to get employee's real feedback about their job.

    Thanks for the ride.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Jose, CA

    ProsYou'll meet some great people.

ConsDepending on what department you work in, expect some long hours. The health benefits are not what they used to be. The turnaround in hiring is high. One day you see someone. The next day you don't. Benefits are not what they used to be.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep cleaning house. Remove those who are stagnant and have not amounted to anything in their 20+ year transition. Change is good. Out with the old ideas. In with the new ideas.
