    Pros

My Position is going away but they have given me a good severance package. The new benefits are decent.

    Cons

This company does not value people nearly as much as the previous company I worked for.

    Advice to Management

Do not treat people like a bottom line entity

I worked at Avago Technologies full-time

    Pros

Comp is good and the stock keeps rising. Company is in some analog based semiconductor products more immune to price erosion. Great technology and expect them to keep outperforming other semis

    Cons

Be prepared to work your tail off. 70+ hrs/week are not uncommon. Most people are doing 2 people's jobs. Management is ruthless about maintaining gross margins and cuts headcount to maintain margin even in good times. Stress levels are really high

    Advice to Management

Work on your ethos. Wouldn't hurt to become more employee friendly.

I have been working at Avago Technologies (More than 3 years)

    Pros

very aggressive, highly focused on stock price, not always a bad thing. Good processes, very fast actions.

    Cons

People don't matter. Buying lots of companies and laying off lots of people from bought and original company. Singapore based. There is no income tax there.

    Advice to Management

    Treat people as assets,

I have been working at Avago Technologies full-time

    Pros

Stock plans appear to be above average with a growth bent.

    Cons

Work loads are insane since salaries are viewed as the biggest expense item.

    Advice to Management

Check on your staff's stress levels from time to time. Do not automatically make cuts in a vacuum.

I have been working at Avago Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very knowledgeable and helpful coworkers; good IRA program - average benefit program

    Cons

No investment in employee training. Absolutely no cross fertilization of ideas between departments (actually people are discouraged from discussing ideas with people in other sections). Scant investment in R & D. Too much bottom line oriented ( this is from the CEO) and scant communication to line level employees.

    Advice to Management

More R & D and try to improve communications

I have been working at Avago Technologies full-time

    Pros

Intelligent educated co-workers; Flexible day schedule; CEO drives stock up and up; hence good stock options income. Good profit sharing bonus on a good year (like 2014).

    Cons

Treated like mushrooms: kept in the dark and fed you-know-what; Info is shared on a need-to-know bases as managers feel insecure about their own role in the design process. Employees are very experienced and much of the time don't need managers' involvement. Micromanagement creates employees who just keep their heads down so not to annoy the boss. Very de-motivating environment overall. Opportunities for growth are limited to non-existent.

    Advice to Management

    Share info. Don't micromanage. Delegate.
