I have been working at Avaya full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Ultra flexible culture, great opportunities to get involved in many areas and build your experience. Pretty good opportunities for career advancement

    Cons

Company has really turned around its business in the last few years, but still waiting for some of those positive changes to kick in in terms of additional revenue. The company's financial struggles make it difficult to give raises and perks to everyone that deserves them.

I have been working at Avaya

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to move around within the company. Pay appears to be on par or better than most equivalent jobs elsewhere. Great technology available to work from home, although not always welcomed in some groups.

    Cons

Benefits are declining rapidly year over year and appear to be far less competitive than elsewhere. 401k match is almost non - existent since it's tied to company performance and HSA contribution require jumping through hoops like completing certain health programs, which nobody has time to do. Management ranks aren't given set vacation days but rather discretionary time off, which means there is no accrual to pay out if you are laid off or leave for any reason. Bonus potential is, in theory, very high but seldom paid out due to company performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reconsider current benefit package - it's NOT competitive despite claims made to employees.
