I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Easy to earn big with the Commission system referred to as CSI despite some glitches in its design as long as you understand the system , provided that you obtain strong people's skills and strong personality and confidence as a sales person.

    Cons

It doesn't seem that the company cares about promoting or keeping great talents , also ops managers are hired without apparent qualifications to fit the job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

this advise basically is for senior management, you need to stand up to the corporate and tell them that things on the ground are not the same as they seem from their high towers, also rental sales agents needs to meet with regional sales managers occasionally to give important feed back and discuss rising difficulties.

I have been working at Avis Budget Group

    Pros

Depending on location, very good company to work for.

    Cons

Very very focused on your sales of optional products. Each location is basically franchised out, so you aren't technically working for the company as a whole, so you don't get all the benefits of working for the corporation.

I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Unlimited Earning Potential
Chance to work within a team
    Good health benefits
    Fair vacation package
    Every day is different
Good management (at least in Salt Lake City)

    Cons

Sales reps make more than managers so its hard to want to move up in the company when taking a pay cut.
Team members are jealous and try to drag you down if you are making more commission than they are.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay managers more to entice good talent to stay with company. It would give us a desire to move up, especially if we have to work more hours.

I worked at Avis Budget Group full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Worked for sales department in a account management job. Great co-workers and office environment. Pay was good for job. Hours were set by the account so no flexibility there, but were very flexible when needed. My direct management was very positive.

    Cons

As with any large publicly traded company you could get lost in the advancement opportunity. Staying #1 is the high priority in public opinion. Maybe not so much with employees. Overall my experience was good.

I worked at Avis Budget Group

    Pros

Drive new cars around the parking lot. Everyone is really friendly and willing to help. Managers are friendly and are pretty easy going.

    Cons

Long hours, however the breaks are pretty long. You drive many cars, it can get repetitive. Its a 24 hour business.
