    Pros

Pay and benefits are ok. If you are a non-black male you can progress quite nicely.

    Cons

The culture is toxic. It wasn't always this way but within the last 3 years of my employment leadership regularly conducted themselves in a manner which creates a hostile work environment for minorities and females. Internal reporting of such behavior results in retaliation from management versus truly addressing the problems. Their "diversity and inclusion" efforts are a joke, meant only to give the outward impression that they are inclusive rather than actual practice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Read and adhere to your own Code of Conduct. You need to hold "leaders" accountable for their behavior. I guess values go out the window when times are tough.

    Pros

You will survive if you are "politically correct"

    Cons

Ethics Compliance reporting is flawed. Retaliation is tolerated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that if someone takes the time to address a concern it is because they truly care.

    Pros

I loved working with the people of this company. All were ready to accept any challenge and succeed. Most were the people that built BAE Systems from the old Mark Ronald days. The ethics of this company are outstanding and make decision making easy. They have a 9/80 work schedule and it is worth working here for but that would be it.

    Cons

When Mark Ronald left the company it went down hill fast. Two very bad CEO's ran the place into a management nightmare. They would like to be known as a great place to work but took so many things from the employees that it became impossible to be a great place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit threating your employees with layoffs and then expect them to be completely honest with you. Get rid of the "My way or the highway" mentality. You are pushing the innovation and big idea process out of the organization. We worked hard to get rid of the lawyers and accountants from running the company. If they continue they will bankrupt you. Walk your talk. You still are not doing it in I&S. Go get em Jerry DeMuro, you are the great hope for the people who want to be great at BAE. Get rid of the Lockheed mentality.

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits, and a few cool coworkers here and there.

    Cons

*Payroll and benefits are unreliable - there are constant mistakes and changes, and more
mistakes. If you don't watch your paycheck like a hawk, you'll end up shorted on something somwhere.

*Upper management is out of touch, there's no middle management, and supervisors
are in their positions due to seniority, not ability. They micromanage you because they have no
idea how to BE managers; but HEY, they have a degree, and they're friends with the good ole
     boy network!!!!

*If you kiss ass, have a crooked moral compass, and pretend to care about ethics and policy,
you will fit in perfect. If you are a good, honest hard worker, you can forget about ever going
anywhere in the company, or feeling like part of the "team".

    *NEPOTISM.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try actually following the ethics and SOP's BAE SAYS it follows in it's manuals; BE what you SAY you are!

    Pros

Generally nice people to work with. Opportunity to move to another department or sector is available should you have an 'outstanding' record.

    Cons

Cons... where do I begin? The sector and department I worked for provided an environment that was suffocating with the pressure of a deadline no matter how big or small. There are no excuses. Little to no appreciation for the work that you do, or the hours you put in (work/life balance? HA! what life?). It is expected that you deliver perfect products every time. Heaven forbid you are allowed to take the initiative and be able to preform your job with out having to CC everyone on your emails including the queen of England. You are no longer an adult, you are a toddler that has to be told everything you are and are not allowed to do. You can not make decisions about anything, ever. No one is happy working there, stuck until we find something else. You are able to count on one hand the employees who have actually lasted 3 years or longer (that's 5 or under folks, not good). There are no promotions. You have to wait until they open up the next level of job, you have to then apply for the job (and contend with anyone else applying for it) and MAYBE get "level II, or III."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Relax. Treat us with the respect that we are adults and we know how to complete a job.
