I have been working at BAE Systems USA full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive benefits with other companies in the same industry. Always trying to improve employee satisfaction. Very meaningful, fulfilling work and overall a fantastic place to work. Great people, too!

    Cons

Very demanding programs make overtime sometimes necessary (overtime is paid). Staffing is difficult, placing more pressure on cleared employees to support too many programs. Some facilities are very old and in terrible condition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in upgrades at older sites. Better recruiting is required to get good, qualified candidates.

I worked at BAE Systems USA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Committed to support the men and women in the Armed Forces. Highly focused on providing the best technology possible to the US Government. Decent benefits but salary seems lower than competitors.

    Cons

This is a UK Owned Company and as such it is very conservative culture which results in a very protracted decision process for investing and strategy. Overwhelming focus on diversity at all costs resulted in a hiring less than the best program to fill quotas.

I worked at BAE Systems USA

    Pros

Most of upper management is approachable about work concerns. You can work without being micro-managed. Good stress-relief activities sponsored by the company are offered. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Promotions to upper management tend to go to the same people - it's not spread around. Many layoffs due to loss of contracts.
